"Perfect match for Thermarest, people who roll in their sleep, and hammocks." 11/09/12
If you have a Thermarest pad, this is a no brainer. It's only for moderate temperatures, but it packs small and pretty light. It snaps onto my fitted sheet but I can kick the bottom open or loosen the drawstring if I get too warm. I dislike sleeping bags because I am a part time side sleeper. Also makes a great top or top/bottom insulating layer for a hammock. It's good down to the high fifties on its own in a hammock. Be warned that the size is a bit misleading. Might consider getting the large size, even for a smaller pad size. More flexible than a bag by far.
"Multi-use = Good Value" 10/12/12
This blanket packs up incredibly small and light for how surprisingly warm it is. I've used it on the airplane, and many times on the ferry, on the bleachers at little league games (in Alaska...brrrr), as an extra layer of warmth in my sleeping bag when camping, and on the couch for movie night. It is so small, there is no reason not to take it along, "just in case," and it ends up getting used quite a bit.
"Worthy lightweight sleeping comfort" 08/07/12
For a warm-weather sleeping setup this blanket is terrific. It's light, packable, and highly versatile. I can use it as a blanket on its own, pair it with a mattress, or double it up and use as a sleeping bag. I plan to use it as part of a hammock camping sleep system this fall, and I have no doubt that it'll be just the right addition to keep me comfortable all night long.
"Awesome blanket for backpacking and traveling!" 10/03/11
I primarily bought this blanket to use on plane and while backpacking. Now I use it for everything! It is awesome! It is compact and can be stowed and taken everywhere. When not using it, it stows away in a compression like bag and makes an awesome pillow. I bought the large one so my gf and I could share it and it works great. Keep in mind her and I are not large people. It seems really durable as well. I see no issues with it and recommend it to everyone who is in the market!
"Comfortable and versitle." 08/09/11
The various ways to use this blanket are amazing... I can even make it into a make-shift Snuggie... though I hate snuggie, I love this blanket. It reall works great as a pillow because it stuffs into itself and is great for me in south Texas because it gets so hot that I don't want to be inside a bag. Could not say enough great things about it!!
"For the minimalist and comfort camper alike" 02/19/11
I like to bring an extra blanket for my chica and I, especially when we winter/early spring backpack. Tried fleece and even small down blankets. This is really the best option for us. Packs right into our compression sacks with our sleeping bags. Well worth the minimal space and 1lb of weight for the comfort.
"Great Blanket" 09/11/10
Very warm and light. I have used this in the car, on the couch, and as an extra blanket on a few summer outings. I really love that it stays warm even when damp and drys quickly. Also it does not attract hair and lent!!! I own 2 of these and they snap together which is a nice feature. It is a nice blanket but definitely does not replace a sleeping bag on a cold night. It does have a nice stuff sack. Worth every penny!
"Truly comfortable bed when you don't want to be a mummy" 06/12/10
This is a very well made, easily packable blanket that rivals any sleeping bag out there in terms of comfort when you don't want to be wrapped up like a swaddled babe. I'm a "no tuck" though because I like to sling my legs around when I sleep, so it suits me just fine. Thanks for making it the best deal around Moosejaw!
"Not as long; Customer service lied" 04/26/10
I'm the reviewer from below. My saga continues. I contacted customer service about being shorted a foot. They told me I needed to stretch the blanket to achieve 80". My burly roommate and I attempted to stretch the blanket. It didn't budge. Not even an inch. We measured it: 68.5". It would've ripped way before we could've stretched it to 80". I'm disappointed in Moosejaw for advertising a product falsely and in their customer service for blatantly lying to me. Probably the last experience I will have with Moosejaw.
"Not as big as is claimed to be" 04/25/10
I ordered the Large, thinking it would be a pretty big 80 inches. This is certainly not the case. I'm 5'6" (66 inches) and there is not enough length for the blanket to come up to my chin when I'm laying. When standing with the blanket, it comes up just a couple of inches above my head. I'd say it's a whole foot shorter than the 80 inches it's supposed to be. I'll be returning this blanket.
