ThermaCapture Radiant Heat Technology is a proprietary reflective coating that we apply to a range of surfaces. By reflecting radiant heat back to your body that is otherwise lost, this extremely lightweight coating turns that surface into a very efficient heat reflector, amplifying warmth without the excess weight or bulk of added, conventional insulating materials.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from solid life-choice I bought this pad a couple years ago - and I'm so glad I did! I've taken it backpacking in the Hoh Rainforest (WA), and I was able to use it to sleep in my hammock even when it got down to 40 degrees. Another night I slept under the stars with my pad and sleeping bag, in the wilderness of VA. I've even used it a couple nights sleeping in the back of my Jeep Cherokee. It's been quite durable. I'm 5'4" and this is more than enough pad for me. It still works well for hammocking. I did get a hole (not sure how) but easily fixed it with the included repair kit. My only concern is that I roll around during restless nights and the pad makes more noise than I'd like.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lightweight. Compact. Comfortable. Bought this guy not too long ago. Was very impressed. It's easy to blow up (I use a Therm-a-Rest Pump Sack for it -- blows up the sleeping pad and doubles as a 40L stuff sack or a camping seat if you fill it with clothes), it's lightweight, and comfortable (tested on anything from car camping to back country camping to using it to sleep on a floor at my buddy's house). My only issue with it is if you have it blown up all of the way and lay flat on your back, there is pressure on your lower back. This can be easily alleviated if you just let a little air out once you lay on it -- kinda like a "sleep number" mattress or whatever they are called.TL;DR -- It is awesome. 5/5 would buy again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for side sleepers I've had the Trekker for awhile now and it seems to be pretty solid. Most pads over 3" thick feel like they're gonna pop, but the Trekker is very reliable. It's a great pad for side sleepers because your hips and shoulder won't dig into the ground. It also packs down more than most pads. I stick mine in the side pocket of my Gregory pack. Some reviews also say that it's loud, which it is if you're on it with no sleeping back. With a sleeping bag on it, it's actually not too bad. The only beef I have with it is the placement of the valve. I wish it was on the corner facing out instead of up. That would make it a little easier to pack, but no big deal. I've recommended this pad to several friends.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great sleeping pad I have had my neo air for a few years now, it has been with me on a camping / backpacking trip through 6 African countries , multiple camping trips throughout the Rocky Mountains and a weeklong trip through Washington. It packs up to just a bit larger than a coke can and is light enough. Keeps me off the ground and warm, never has to patch it but still have the patch kit in case that changes. The only downfall is it can be a little noisy if you are an active sleeper or roll. Otherwise I would recommend for an easy, relatively inexpensive sleeping pad.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it, but my wife... I almost gave this a 4 star but I can't. I love this pad. I've had it for years with no leaks or punctures. If I'm not in ultralight mode (which is usually) I pair it with the Z-Lite for comfort and protection in the summer, and added warmth in the winter. Cozy, light, and packs down to the size of a water bottle. My wife hates it because it is one of the older models and it is loud. I admit that it does make a lot of crunchy noise if you roll around. But the positives out weigh that, and I think that problem was solved in newer models.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic - light, small, and comfortable! I upgraded to this recently and my only regret is I didn't do it sooner. It's comfortable, very lightweight, and packs down to a tiny addition to your pack. I love the non-skid surface as well - I toss around a lot at night and never slide off like I have on other sleeping pads. I use it for backpacking but we've even started throwing it in our luggage for more traditional trips in case we need a bed for one of our kids - it's so compact, it makes no sense to not bring it along.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Even bugs like to sleep on it! I bought this item to go for a longboardtrek in Croatia. Since i needed very light gear i choose the Therm-a-rest neo air trekker. Since the gear is so light i was very surprised by the fact that it supported my body very well. It is super handy and folds into a super small package to carry! i just love it! It kept my backpack light and my back warm and comfy during the night! Even the local fauna and flora couldn't resist my Therm-a-rest some nights :D

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Back Country Comfort I recently used my NeoAir Trekker, large torso, on a 5 day hike on the Foothills Trail in South Carolina. I was very pleased with the way I was able to adjust my comfort level with the valve. I also used the little 2+ oz pump, purchased separately, instead of blowing my own breath into it. A great combination! Folded, the pad works well in the back pocket of my G4 backpack. This is it for me!
