The Luxury Map Sleeping Pad by Therm-A-Rest makes me just want to sleep on the ground- well with this between me and the ground. The new Luxury Map mattress takes our most comfortable, self-inflating mattress to a higher level of luxury with advanced pressure mapping technology and innovative die-cut foams. The result is a more even and supportive sleep surface, less tossing and turning to alleviate pressure points, and the priceless experience of a more restful night outdoors.

With pressure mapping, used extensively in medical and industrial applications, Therm-A-Rest utilized digital pressure mapping technology to analyze a range of body types in varying sleep positions. In doing so, they identified common areas of high and low pressure and sought to create a more even and comfortable sleep surface. Therm-A-Rest achieved this by varying the density of diecut perforations—more to soften high pressure areas and fewer in low-pressure areas to maintain support where it's needed most.

FEATURES of the Therm-A-Rest Luxury Map Sleeping Pad

  • This year, we're covering it with a new lighter fabric that's softer and more plush than ever before

Rated 5 out of 5 by from ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ I could barely wake myself up to write this review. I previously had a Thermarest Trailight mattress and decided my old cranky self needed some more comfort now that I'm no longer hiking in all my gear. This is the most comfortable mattress I've ever seen. I'm not going to go as far as to say its more comfortable than my own bed, but I'd rather sleep on this than my guest bed... I tested some 2-3" mats at various stores and the 'mapping' does make a clear difference. Well worth the money, I've sacrificed sleeping comfort for far too long. My only worry is that the morning light may not wake me up anymore, guess I'll have to invest in a battery op alarm clock.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well worth the money! I've been blessed with a herniated disc in my lower back. I avoided surgery thanks to my yoga butted MILF physical therapist's hard work but I have a creaky back now and need all the help I can get when camping. ,,,,This mattress does the trick, it's quiet, doesn't feel plasticy. Yes, it's expensive and bulky but it works for my uses. It's big enough to sleep comfortably on and the firmness is adjustable.,,,,On ADVrider I learned how to roll a Thermarest to be as compact as possible. Basically what you want do is open the valves, roll, close valves, unroll, flip over, open valves, reroll, close valves. Repeat as needed and you'll be able to put it back in the original package I kid you not.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic product! This is a huge step up from using a standard air mattress (which has to have a powered air source and then still seems to always deflate overnight anyway, leaving you sleeping on the hard ground by morning). Much smaller and easy to pack than most other air mattresses as well. I bought the Luxury Map and a buddy bought the Base Camp model (since neither one of us wanted to drop $200+ for the NeoAir). After comparing both, my buddy is now returning his Base Camp for the Lux version. Highly recommended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This mattress rocks my face off I'm no Bear Gryles, but I do spend some time sleeping on the ground when I'm out hunting or camping with my family. I'm 6'1" and 260 lbs. I have a hard enough time finding a good sleeping bag that I fit in. My wife got this pad for me, and I almost slept on it instead of my temperpedic bed. I got the big size, and can lay on it without hanging over the sides or ends, and I could sleep with it on a gravel pile and never feel a rock. Thanks Moosejaw,,-Joshua Mast-

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Worth the Money Loving the latest technology in sleeping pads,,1. Self Inflating,,2. Comfortable,,3. Compact,,4. Light Weight,,I didn't think sleeping pads were worth more than $40.00 so I expressed displeasure when my wife added this product to our order. After using it during a four day adventure, I'm feeling compelled to admit this product is well worth the cost.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Thermarest is the best for a reason and doesn't disappoint Wife got me one for my birthday, so I bought her one for her birthday. These air matresses are amazing for sleeping. A little heavy for backpacking, but regular family camping and you won't miss your Vera Wang mattress at home.,,Thanks for still making a great mattress from when I first slept on my Dad's nearly 30 years ago.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Loved it. Was comfortable, easy to use, kept me warm. Best sleep ever on camping trip Loved the Therm a Rest luxury sleeping pad. Was easy to use on camping trip. Inflated perfectly. Comfortable to sleep on, and kept the cold from ground away. First time inflation took a long time, so be sure to follow directions before camping. Deflated easily for packing and travel. Great purchase for recreational use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Curbing my cleverness to sing its prasies The comfort is there but what im most impressed about is the warmth this thing allows. Its really not all that much heavier than a fast and light pad either. So, that being said, if you want to Jeremiah Johnson it you could easily take this on a long trek.
