The Therm-A-Rest Down Pillow is a travel pillow that brings ultralight comfort to anyone anywhere. Featuring a soft, brushed polyester cover with 650-fill goose down, it’s pretty much made of fluffy awesome. A perimeter drawcord allows the cover to be cinched down, making it compressible and compact. Extra clothes can be stuffed into the adjustable space between the pillow and cover to customize the firmness of the pillow. Once I had a travel pillow that I named“The Tooth” because it looked and sort of felt like a big tooth. Feel free to call this one “The Cloud” or “The Fluffy Sheep” or something. Except a sheep would probably not make a good pillow.

Go Bigger!I ordered this pillow to stuff into my Big Agnes bag (which I LOVE) because the specs where what I needed. Upon recieving this pillow I quickly realized it wouldnt work for me. I prefer to have my head up in a more natural position when sleeping. The pillow is only about 2" thick when out fully (Small = 12"x16" in my case) and with any weight on it you would be better off with your head on the ground. You can stuff a shirt etc into it but that would require drawing it in more losing overall size. If you like a firmer pillow I would recommend going up a size that way you can draw it in and stuff some stuff in.

It'll be in my pack til i either cant clean it, find it, or someone gives me a better producti went md. cuz who really needs lg? it packs up super small and fits in my overnight pack perfect. On the greyhound, came in great. on my buddies floor that night after the ball game, came in even better. Being able to adjust the firmness of the pillow with stuffing clothes or just pulling the drawstring is ideal. great price, great product. im sure it wont slide outta my sleeping bag this summer either. light weight, great buy. highly reccommended.

go big or go homeI got the small and I'll be buying a large soon. The pillow is great, super soft and comfortable... but you have to keep it cinched up so that your head doesnt bottom out on the ground. It flattens out pretty bad. It's not a problem to keep it cinched, but it's hella small when you do. It doesnt take up a lot of space, and weighs next to nothing, so my advice is to size up... you'll be a happier camper.

Soft, Compressible, ExpensiveI bought this to use in conjunction with the NeoAir pillow since I am a side sleeper and need the extra height. If you plan on using an inflatable inside this pillow, get one that is MUCH smaller than the down pillow you choose (you will need lots of extra overlap to secure the inflatable). The med NeoAir is too big to use inside the med down pillow. There is lots of down in this pillow (4oz) but it is very compressible, so you only get about 1/2" of support when opened or 1.5" of height when compressed into a ball by pulling the draw cord. If you are a back sleeper and plan on using just this pillow, I would recommend a large. The outer shell is 100% poly - it feels like the outer shell of a sleeping bag (but more like fabric than nylon). I think this pillow is better suited as a down cover for your inflatable pillow than by itself. Don't like the feel of an air mattress under your head, or need some additional pillow height/warmth? Well, this might be a good solution for you.

Mate it with the Therm-A-Rest NeoAir Pillow and it's OOO soo goodFor me pairing this with the NeoAir is just about as good as my pillow at home. I sleep on both my side and back. The easiest, lightest, and most compact yet comfortable setup I've come across. It is on the $$$ side, but worth it!

Super softThis pillow is extra comfy on my head. I like how you can adjust the firmness also you could stuff a sweatshirt in it to make it even better.
