Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great, light weight, warm sleeping bag! This is a great, all around sleeping bag. Not only is it light weight, it's also incredibly warm. It comes with stretchy straps on the back that make it easy to attach a sleeping pad to the bag. The hood is big enough for a pillow and your head to fit inside, and it definitely has enough space to move around inside the bag. My one suggestion or piece of advice is that this bag is part of a sleep system, meaning you have to buy a pad along with the sleeping bag (I suggest the neo air). It's definitely worth it to buy the full sleep system! It will keep you warm in 20 degree weather, and you won't get too hot in 70 degree weather.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A very good, comfortable bag I used this bag on a couple of late summer trips and a fall trip. The weight saving design is a real plus, and it packs down very small. The material was very comfortable and had more of a cloth feel then the plastic sense you get from some bags. The temperature rating seems about right; it went down to about 20 on my fall trip and I was warm without even being zipped all the way in. The straps to attach it to the sleeping pad are my one quibble. They make it hard to open up the bag and use it as a blanket in a warm night as well as get in the way if you're just hanging out in the tent and want to push the sleeping bag out of the way. They're a cute gimmick, but really solve a problem that I've never particularly had - guess I don't roll around much in my sleep.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great bag for backpacking I purchased this bag to reduce the weight in my pack. It is great hybrid design between a quilt and a insulation on the bottom to reduce weight but fully enclosed so as to not slip off while sleeping. When paired with the Thermarest Neoair Xlite, it is very comfortable. The pad is held securely in straps that prevent slipping off the pad during the night. This combination make for a good night's sleep.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super comfortable all-around sleeping bag! I've had this sleeping bag (and the NeoAir XLite mattress) for several months now, and it's been fantastic with every use. I was a little skeptical about the lack of down fill on the bottom of the bag and whether attaching the mattress would feel clunky, but both concerns were assuaged after the first couple uses. The pad's thickness keeps your body well off the ground, and the Antares' natural warmth takes over from there. So far the coldest night I've tested the bag in was high 20s or low 30s, and it performed wonderfully. The shell material is really nice against the skin, and surprisingly durable, which is great when you have a 70-lb dog who wants nothing more than to cuddle with you at night and create a nest in your sleeping bag with his claws. So far, no rips or tears! The bag's zipper is also really great, and gets stuck far less often than any other bag I've used.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Mommy Adventuring with her Bad Ass Kids Love the compactness and light weight of this bag, as this mommy had to carry extra for her mommy/daughter section hike of the Appalachian Trail. No worries, this mommy's back and legs are strong but she didn't let her daughter off scot free. Her 12-year old daughter carried her own gear but it made this mommy's daughter envious of her Antares bag and wanting her own. :-) A few times camping this year, this mommy found her jealous daughter snuggled, cozy in HER Antares bag!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A better night's sleep, with less weight in your pack. The Antares sleeping bag is EASILY the best sleeping bag I have ever used. I tested the bag all summer long and well into the fall (in Montana.) I slept at over 8,000ft in the snow last Oct. and stayed toasty warm at temperatures close to 20º.,,The SynergyLink Connectors (two sleeves that keep the sleeping bag from sliding off the mattress), work so well that I no longer wake up in someone else's tent. This fact has helped me sleep better, because I'm not constantly waking up worried I'm sliding off my pad. It also helps reduce the weight of the bag by removing insulation from the bottom of the bag. ,,Having a section of the sleeping bag with no insulation also helps on those hot summer nights when it's to warm to get inside the bag. I would drape the sleeping bag over me, with the non-insulated section over the top of me. Perfect bag, adaptable to whatever weather you'll find.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid 3 season bag I got this sleeping bag towards the end of last spring and have logged over 100 nights in it since, and can say I got a great night sleep each time in it. The combination with this and the sleeping bag kept me warm, and was able to lighten up my load in my pack. Overall it's a well made bag and even after a long summer of wear still keeps me warm on nights below freezing. Good effort from Thermarest!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from BFF (Best Friend Forever) I am serious about this being my BFF! You can count on it's features, reliability, comfort, durability, warmth, size and shape and all that fits into a small stuffsack weighing less than two pounds. I've had this sleeping bag for six months in many different locations, conditions and weather and I always sleep really comfortably. Even after 220 miles of John Muir Trail. OH YEAH, definitely a new BFF!,
