Top quality for unique and useful featuresI spent Easter of this year in the high country of Australia with a sleeping bag that I thought was up to the job, and I can say I've never had a worse nights sleep, despite having every thread of clothing on inside of a goosdeown bag in a hut with the fire going. ,,,,I knew I needed a better bag and I am happy to say that by picking the Altair, I'm now the owner of a bag that's the envy of every bivouac I've stayed in. It's kept me positively toasty even camping on the steel tray of a truck that wouldn't start on account of the snow and below zero temps of the night. Just such an experience has made me a convert to the integrated sleeping pad straps that are included on all Therm-a-rest bags. ,,,,This is, I can say, the first 'Real' sleeping bag I've owned, and judging by the quality of the build I'll be keeping it for some time! ,,,,10/10, have recommended to friends and family!

Excellent bag that provides a really good warmth to weight ratio...I utilized this bag on a 2 week expedition to Peru, in which the weather was more unstable and colder than any of my previous trips to the Cordillera Blanca Range. Fortunately for me, I found this bag to be quite warm despite the light-weight of the bag. I like the fact that Thermarest includes an extreme (-24F), limit (12 F) and comfort (24 F) rating for the bag and found these ratings to be pretty accurate for my body type. I find this kind of rating very helpful to let you at-least have a baseline for the warmth of the bag and help you make decisions on which bag to purchase or use, based upon your sleep pattern, your warmth level and the conditions you will find yourself in. ,,,,While not always a fan of the bags that incorporate a system that attaches your sleeping pad to the bag, in this instance, I found it to work well and perform better than other systems I have used in the past. Overall, this bag performed well and would definitely recommend it....
