"love it! super comfy!" 03/01/12
This backpack is the most comfortable and roomy backpack I've ever had! The straps are well padded as well as the back portion of the pack. I like its simple and clean design and the color moosejaw has to offer.
"Comfortable, versatile backpack." 02/09/12
I purchased this backpack for my first year of college and it ROCKS. This thing can hold up to two large textbooks, two 1.5-inch binders, and a 3-subject notebook. There's a padded laptop sleeve which can (snugly) fit my 16.5" laptop. The two front compartments are very convenient for storing smaller supplies and keeping them organized. The straps are adjustable and are very comfortable! I spend at least an hour each day walking around and this backpack has never dug into my shoulders or caused chaffing, The two drawstring pouches on either side of the backpack are very convenient as well.Overall, this is an awesome backpack.
"Great day pack for the price..." 06/30/11
Bought this pack for my gf for a trip to Hawaii. It is going to work great to hold all types of snacks, brewskis, and whatnot... Fits her well, and it well padded but not overstuffed. Overall, it was exactly what I was looking for.
"My Pride and Joy." 04/25/11
I got this backpack as a gift and am now severely indebted to the giver as it was the greatest present ever. It holds my water bottle, my plastic turtle, my camera, my frisbee, a pair of running sneakers, another water bottle, lots of snacks, stickers, and anything else that is deemed necessary for a proper adventure. On top of it's holding capabilities, it is tough as nails yet doesn't feel like you're lugging around a papoose filled with bricks. If you are in the market for a backpack, get this one. If you're not, you are a fool and should get this one anyway.
"Great all around day pack for school, travel, or any other adventure" 02/21/11
The Yavapai has more than enough room for my daily carrying needs. It holds my 15" MacBook Pro in its sleeve, notebooks, laptop cooling stand, and all of my accessories (MBP power adaptor, mouse, pens/pencils, cables, etc.) Best of all, it's super comfortable to carry. I can't speak for durability yet since I've only had it for almost a week, but I suspect it will be as durable as my other North Face gear. The only thing I had reservations about was that the laptop compartment (which can double as a hydration sleeve, if you so desire) isn't at all padded. Given that, I won't transport my laptop without it being in its incase sleeve.
"Great backpack!" 12/11/10
After having this backpack for a semester, I figured it was time to review it. It is a great pack that is just big enough for me to carry around my 15 in laptop. Lots of pockets! When I'm not using it for school, it also performs well as a daypack for more fun outings. Very comfortable! The straps are well-made and take daily wear and tear well! Buy it!
