The Women's Apex Bionic Jacket by The North Face is a versatile and widely worn soft shell jacket with enhanced windproof features and a stretchy, comfortable fit ideal for weekend and weekday activities. With water resistance, it doubles as a rain jacket in light drizzles, and can also do double time as a fleece jacket substitute for backpacking in the shoulder seasons or the dead of summer. "Love the coat" 05/26/13

I saw this coat last year! I have been wanting to purchase it for a year now and never did. I waited even bought a different coat thinking that it would work fine. Boy was I wrong. That coat didn't even last me a year. I now bought this coat and love it. I live on an island and there is lots of wind it really keeps the wind out and me warm! It also repels rain which is a great addition to the coat. The thing i like the most is that I can layer it if I want. the only thing that would make this better if it had a hood that way I wouldn't have to wear something else under it with a hood for when it is raining! Overall love the coat and completely happy with my purchase!

"Love this jacket!" 05/01/13

I just got this jacket and love it so far! I have other North Face jackets and this one does tend to run a bit smaller/more fitted. I have a down parka in medium, but decided to get a large in this jacket and am glad I did. It has a little extra room for more layers underneath without being baggy. It also allowed for a little extra sleeve length which I need being 6'1".

"Perfect light weight jacket!!" 04/25/13

I love this jacket! It's prefect for 3 of our 4 seasons in Minnesota, doesn't do so hot in forty below zero temps though. Its very wind proof and water resistant as well. The fit is just right, hugging curves in all the right places with room to move!

"A fantastic jacket, very versatile for different types of weather. Worth the price." 03/21/13

This jacket is fantastic. It has great protection against the wind and rain, and is warm enough that it's very comfortable, even in the winter. It's perfect for skiing in milder weather as well. It's more form fitting than other North Face products I own, particularly around the stomach, but I still got the same size as I normally do, and am very happy with it. I'm 5'5, 140 lbs, and I wear a medium. The sleeves are nice and long, which is perfect on colder days to keep your hands warm, and the collar easily flips up to protect your neck against strong winds when necessary. I wear this jacket often enough that it's worth the price. I would absolutely buy another in a different color.

"Keeps you comfortable!" 03/10/13

Bought this for my girlfriend and she will not take it off. Keeps her warm and nice and dry. Looks great also. I would buy another one for myself if I was a woman, but I am not. First North Face product and will be purchasing more in the future.

"Great Fit, Great Quality" 03/05/13

I've seen some reviews stating the jacket sizing is too small, but I would say it is true to size. I normally buy clothing in a size Medium and I order this in a Medium and it fit perfectly (despite the fact that I have a proportionally larger chest and arms). The fit is definitely more of an "athletic" fit and slimmer, but I could still get a thing sweater underneath it. There definitely isn't room for a fluffy fleece, but a thin merino wool sweater is fine. The quality is great just like all North Face products.

"Jacket is AWESOME!!!" 02/24/13

I was looking for a mid weight jacket; lighter than my down parka but something to layer as weather changed (the weather motto of the state I live in is "if you don't like the weather, wait five minutes. It will change.") My daughter has this, is far more active outdoors than I am and loves it. The jacket did not disappoint! I ordered it in a large (tried a medium which I normally wear; it does run a tad small) and I can wear a sweater or light sweatshirt under it easily. Recently wore it on a trip to the NC coast; walked the beach in 50 degree weather and wind and it was perfect. Water resistant, wind resistant, looks GREAT! Many compliments!!!

"Love it!" 02/07/13

I never write reviews, but I really love this jacket and thought I would give anyone thinking about getting it a little nudge. The fit is great; a little fitted, yet room for a couple layers underneath. Love the blue color and sleeve length is awesome. I am 5'8.5", 145# and bought large.

"Great all around jacket!" 02/01/13

I purchased this for my girlfriend and she loves it, I have the same men's jacket as well. TNF does not disappoint; quality materials, good fit, comfortable fabric, and is perfect for fall and early winter weather. Great for layering, it blocks the wind and is water resistant enough to not get soaked through in the rain. Overall great product, and I would recommend it to anyone.

"Apex Bionic is a Must Have Jacket" 01/29/13

This style jacket does not pill up like fleece. It always looks great and I have one in just about every color available. Fit is perfect and colors are amazing. I would get one it every color. You can wear this pretty much year round on cool days.
