"Absolutely AWESOME Jacket" 02/09/12
I've had this jacket this last fall and I LOVE IT. The fabric is soft on the inside and outside (a big plus for me), but not in a plush way. It has this velvety quality to it - very comfortable. As it's name indicates, this jacket is a pretty good windbreaker. Granted, it doesn't hold up against strong winds, but it keeps most light-to-normal wind out. I wear this jacket for 40-65 degree weather and it holds up great. It's very easy to move around in and fits perfectly.

So I bought this jacket for my daughter in the Octopus Blue, not realizing she already has a Columbia jacket in almost the same color. Rather than send it back, I tried it & love it! Really does block the annoying TX wind! I love the snug fit, but still can move in it for workouts. It is more stiff than other TNF fleece jackets, but I'm hoping it will loosen a bit when washed. It's not something that bothers me enough to mark down the rating, especially since it's probably this way in order to do its job of blocking wind. BTW, I'm purchasing another Windwall jacket for my daughter in a different color...just in case you were thinking I'm a mean & unthoughtful mother!

OK, so what was I thinking purchasing a light colored jacket for a teen who's a slob (it's all in the genes, man). So, while it is a really cool looking jacket, back it's going - ordered a darker color and I know she'll just love it! Peace out.

I came here in Michigan a year ago and I thought I was going to die. It gets really cold and windy here. But this jacket warmed me up and it's so comfortable. It was a good idea to buy it. I also wear it when it's raining and it doesn't get wet. Great jacket!

I live on a very windy college campus and walk to class everyday (I live in Iowa). I bought this jacket to keep out the wind and cold and it works so well. I'm 5'4'' and weigh about 150lbs. I got a size medium and I think it is perfect. I wear a hooded sweatshirt underneath and there is plenty of room for it. I love my jacket! I even got white, and I am terrible at keeping things clean but it really doesn't pick up a lot of dirt or stains. Overall I am very satisfied! I think the price is great for what you get also. Hope this helps!

"Great jacket just not as expected" 11/06/11
I bought this jacket online after I saw it in the northface store but it was $25 cheaper online. I am 5'7 about 130 pounds and a small fit. A friend recommended saying it was wind resistant. When I received the jacket in the mail, I tried it on and it felt different from the one I tried on in the store, the small felt too small and it rose up when I lifted my arms and the arms felt shorter but this may have been due to there being elastic at the bottom of the arm which the one in the store didn't have. I was surprised as I took the code off the jacket in the store and this was supposed to be the same jacket.

This jacket is great. The material is thinner than traditional fleece, yet it is much warmer. It is the perfect jacket to wear on those windy days when it's not quite cold enough to wear a winter coat but a normal fleece isn't enough. Unlike regular fleece where the wind seems to come right through, this jacket keeps the wind out and the warmth of your body in so you feel nice and toasty! It's also really cute. I got it in white and I think it's really stylish. I might buy it in another color!

Bought this as a birthday gift for my girlfriend. She was more interested in the trendy TNF logo at first, but is becoming a more experienced outdoor pro and loves the way it blocks the wind and keeps her warm. She looks cute wearing the jacket and feels more comfortable in the outdoors, so it's a double win for me!
