Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm jacket for winter wear and... My daughter wore this for the 2012 winter and loved it. She also used it a couple times for protection when she was killing wasp nests with her father. I bought this in the pink color and she likes it a lot! When I purchased it the employee who was helping us told us that if you take the down liner out and put it on before the outer insulated jacket the consumer would be much warmer in it. My son is going to use this for Halloween for being a "girl snowboarder and will wear her girly snow bib pants." Wash w/ hot water and tumble dry on high for 2-4 hours.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice jacket but not for skiing I decided to return this jacket based on how bulky it was under my arms and how long the sleeves were. I really liked the fabric, but the color was kind of a blah maroon that I didn't love. The inner jacket fit great, better than some of the other triclimate jackets. Overall, I felt like this was more of a general winter running-around jacket than a ski jacket because it didn't have many pockets or a powder skirt. I ordered a medium (5'6, 135 lbs) and I would have prefered a slimmer fit, but I think a small would have been too tight.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bought it for my best girl and she loves it and wears all winter. My soon to be wife got this jacket and loves it for winter in Flagstaff which gets extremely cold and the wind gets tough as well. It has a very conforming fit to hear great curves. The jacket is breathable and keeps you at the right temperature needed to stay warm without sweating. The jacket also zips apart so you can wear as many layers as you require. The jacket is great for shoveling and repels water very well. Just enough pockets and great to wear in the winter for nice special occasions or going to the game. Four thumbs up!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome, awesome jacket! Super happy. If you are thinking about getting this jacket, don't think anymore, get it. You will love it, I read tons of reviews for weeks and debated on which jacket to get for weeks, decided on this one and love it. Got the black which goes well with everything. It is really warm and the hood keeps the rain and snow from ruining your hair. The inner part zips out and is a really nice jacket to wear on its own for spring or fall. The jacket is not bulky at all which is what I was trying to avoid. Seriously a great jacket.. you will love it!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from GF liked well enough to relay to me so I could earn reward points! Following relayed from GF (wearer of above coat):,,"I really love this coat. It's perfect for just about everything and nice enough to wear all the time. I'd really like to try one of the other liner-thingies that zips into it, though. This one (the one it comes with) is kinda shiny and I feel like I could snag it on anything (she hasn't).",,,,So, yeah. The coat is part of a modular system, so she COULD remove the inner jacket and "zip-in" another North Face jacket for the inside. I think that's pretty cool.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Top Notch Bought this jacket for my wife recently and she absolutely loves it. The removable liner makes this Vinson II incredibly versatile. The liner is sleek and makes it easy to wear the liner as a jacket by itself. The underarm zippers (shell only) allow your body to breathe while skiing or the like. Would definitely recommend this jacket to anyone looking for a solid jacket that they can count on when needed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great everyday jacket Great jacket for everyday running errands, and casually being outside. I'm not a skiier and am not out for long periods of time during the winter, but this coat is great. Was almost concerned when it arrived, it seemed very thin. Keeps you very warm (weather has consistantly been in the teens, 20's here so far. I am surprised how warm it does keep me without the added bulk I thought I always needed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good jacket! I bought this in black cause it goes with everything. Its was what I was looking for, it keeps warm yet not too bulky and light weight for what it is. Its very form fitting and you don't lose your shape but i wish the outer layer was more like the other triclimate jackets thick and more textural. But that's just my opinion. Overall a pretty good jacket.
