"Very nice" 05/18/12
Jacket is great like the other reviews say. But i would like to add the brown color is very nice in person. The brown color has some green in it and doesn't really appear brown like in the pic at all. Also the liner of the jacket has purple flowers, and the zipper is purple. I don't think the purple would match the brown color in the picture, but in person it does look nice. We didn't like the colors in the pic at all, but love the colors of the jacket in person.
"I bought my girlfriend and she loved it. In Chile we are entering the winter and my girlfriend wante" 05/03/12
I bought my girlfriend and she loved it.In Chile we are entering the winter and my girlfriend wanted a good jacket for rain and bad weather. I think this jacket is excellent for use of city and occasionally climb any hill.very good design, size fits quite well (S), and leaves room to accompany some other inner layer. No doubt would recommend, I bought the same but a little better (mountain guide) and truth that are very similar. The difference is the material and zips.Very good jacket, very comfortableSorry for my English, I'm from chile and I speak Spanish. I hope you understand.greetings.
"Definately worth the money!" 12/19/11
I was very hesitant about spending this kind of cash on a shell. I have several base layers from TNF but wanted an everyday jacket that I could use by itself in the spring/summer and with the base layers for the colder months. After contemplating the purchase and visiting this coat and the Venture I decided to spend the cash on the Varuis Guide. The material is definately much nicer than the Venture. I love that my base layers zip in and that I will be able to wear this year round.
"This jacket rocks!" 12/12/11
This jacket is warm enough as a shell without a liner for a warm winter day, and super-warm for me with a 200 wt fleece when colder or with wind (I am usually cold). I plan to get the Redpoint jacket to go under it to make it extra warm for really cold days. I purchased it in black, and the fabric is a little shiny, and very smooth. After trying on both a small and medium, I found the small was tight with a fleece underneath (5'3", 115, small bust), although it was fine without a fleece underneath. I ended up ordering the medium and am happy I did as a little more room in the winter with sweaters, etc, especially when wearing casually.
