Product Description Item No.   10252214

The North Face Women's Transit Triple C Jacket is a quilted down jacket for commuting through the cold of winter. Encased inside the quilted chambers are 550-fill down, toasting your body from head to knee with warmth. Starting at the shoulders and through the chest, the quilting chambers are smaller, gradually getting larger as they move past your waist. The smaller size allows warmth without the bulk, so you can still strut down the street confidently on your way to work. The hood is removable so you can adjust your style for the day, and the front placket features hidden snaps for a clean look. The closest you can get to wearing a sleeping bag, and still being able to walk. Potato sack races are too hard when it's snowing out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I LOVE THIS COAT! So, I must admit, I've never been a person who has cared about or wanted a coat that keeps me super warm. I live in PA, so this definitely should not be the case. I am a definite girlie girl, and have really only cared about having a coat that looks stylish and feminine...that is until my son started playing WINTER "INDOOR" BASEBALL. This coat has made it possible to go to his games, sit on the horrendous metal bleachers, withstand low temps and STILL ENJOY watching. I was even able to dress it up with some cheap girlie goves, a hat, and scarf and it looks great! Worth every cent!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good for commuting in big cites with buildings to block wind... Bad for upstate. I wanted to love it. I love North Face and have another coat by them - can't remember the name right now. But this one did nothing against the upstate wind :( I'd build up great heat inside it, I love the length for my legs, but the wind killed that heat asap. I can imagine wearing this to the office in NYC, running up and down stairs and subways, in and out of the cold, but not for walking from my car into work up on a hill.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I work outside, so need a very warm jacket I got this jacket because i needed something warm because I work mostly out side, It really delivers. I find myself using the jacket not only for work, but every time I need to be out in the cold. we had a sub zero day last week and the jacket kept me as warm as can be, love it! If you need a warm jacket, do yourself a favor and get this awesome jacket. It cost an arm and a leg, but it really keeps you warm.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic winter coat! I purchased this coat as a Christmas present for my girlfriend. Shortly after the holiday we had sub-zero temperatures. After the first day she wore the coat she told me, "I was amazed how warm the coat is". This from a woman that feels cold all the time. "I couldn't believe it was 10 below, it felt like a normal day with this on"! ,,,,Thank you Moosejaw and The Northface for making me the presentnista!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it! Warm and Lightweight! I've wanted this for a long time! I HATE being cold and I love how this covers my legs and has a hood! Incredibly lightweight for the size and warmth! I could have done an XS or Small, but I went with a Small so I could layer. I don't find this coat to run small at all...TTS for letter-sized jackets.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best gift to myself EVER My birthday is months away (I'm using it as an excuse anyway) but I've been eyeing this coat for quite some time and soooo: Happy Birthday to me!!!,,,,And while I'm at it, Happy New Year to me also! Stylish and warm at the same time: going into 2015 with this coat is the best thing ever.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Very form fitting, unable to layer This item was ordered a size larger and still was tight fit. unable to layer even with a larger size. The length was great but because it is a form fitting item, you will not be able to really do any layering. I had to return the item.

Hey there, The hood of this jacket does have a drawcord at the base which can be used to tighten it. I hope this helps.
