The picture online looks like the coat has a slender fit, a body hugging coat with a defined waist. I found the waist on the actual coat to be more a regular fit, and the coat was baggier looking in person than expected. The shoulder area was too "sloped" (not enough shoulder room), thus the fit felt awkward and tight through the shoulders.
"Cute but poor down content in arms so breeze comes thru"
This is a cute cut and style and loved the red, but there is a serious breeze that comes through the arms when there is any wind. I have a lot of experience with light to heavy weight down jackets- when you live in the cold and walk to work you might as well have a selection of coats and enjoy the outdoors- and thought this would be a great addition due the mid thigh length (which I loved). Sadly, the down is skimpy in the arms and hood and both suffer for it. I think you could get by in the upper 20's without much wind, but that's about it. (and that is with a light fleece or sweater underneath). I also was surprised that the material allowed the fluffy down pieces to come through (not the usual few sharp ends, but the actual individual feather strands fluff thru the material). This is going back.
At first glance, you definitely won't think this jacket will keep you warm. It's super light and not puffy at all. However, the new "down" jackets are super light and packable. I was skeptical at first, but this jacket will keep you warm...It's the perfect length - it will cover your behind and it isn't so long that you're tripping and can barely walk. You still have a bunch of mobility and you'll be warm. This really is a "transit" jacket. If you're looking for something that you can wear all winter long and that will last, this is the jacket. This will become your go-to jacket that you will wear every single day.
