"love, love, love it!" 01/31/12
This jacket is similar to the Patagonia down sweater. While I love them both, I find that the North Face Thunder Jacket is a little more fitted around the waist, thus a little more flattering. It is incredibly warm but not at all heavy. I get tons of compliments on this jacket. It is sporty looking but also very nice looking and can be worn skiing, running in cold weather, to work, out at night, etc. You will not be disappointed!

I bought this jacket for myself because I needed a night time winter jacket. The jacket it is very light not puffy but yet still very warm! It is a fashionable jacket and I can wear it with jeans and leggings. The jacket has many different pockets on the inside to put money and carry other various things. This jacket is a quality North Face product at a great price! I would highly recommend this jacket to anyone who has a big puffy winter jacket and wants a warm and light jacket for special occasions.
"Fantastic, lightweight coat" 10/06/11
This is the best coat I have ever had! I love how light it is yet how surprisingly toasty it keeps me. I really feel the cold yet live in the DC area where it does get below freezing point a lot, so I wanted a coat that would keep me warm and would fight my terrible circulation. Plus, I needed something lightweight. I hate bulky coats as they make me feel so draggy. This coat was the answer! I read so many reviews of other coats but eventually got this coat in a blue last winter and it was one of the few things that actually made winter days bearable. The only downside is that it isn't totally waterproof, but I can live with that and wear a shell over it on those wet and cold days.

I wanted a lighter weight warm jacket for our crazy Colorado winters. I ordered the TNF black in a medium and I could not believe the way it fit me! I'm 5'7" 124 lbs and the arm length couldn't have been more accurate!!! Ordering clothing online can always be a surprise once you get it home and try it on but I was beaming once I put my arms in it and zipped it up! so comfortable not bulky at all yet comfortable and warm I am so stoked for our first big snow to get out there and take it for its first ski sesh!

i love it because when i feel it, the jacket is as light as air. how about warm protection? i don't know why it could finish the mission, which is really amazing. i highly recommend it. hurry up, because the sizes are not all available, what's the most important is that the price here is really competitive, if you could go to the real stores! here are offered great discounts.wish everyone enjoys a light life without burdon.
"Too Loud" 02/21/11
I own this same jacket in Black from the 09 season and I love it. I wear it everywhere because it is so warm, and super lightweight. I managed to rip a tiny hole in one of the arms and the jacket is now losing feathers. Having loved the jacket so much I decided to purchase the new model in Grey, thinking I was going to get the same quality. To my huge disappointment TNF seems to have begun using a somewhat different material that is sooooo incredibly loud, that it makes this jacket sound like a garbage bag.TNF-bring the old fabric back!!!

I bought this jacket for my wife for Christmas, and now she wears it everyday. Besides being so warm, the styling is very cool and it is super-light. I looked around and Moosejaw had the best price, with a gift card deal available at the time to-boot, and rewards points on top of that!

I got the small for a friend who was going to be for a week in 30 degree weather in Baltimore for New year's. She said if was toasty warm and packed really light. She showed me a picture and looks great! (her and the jacket) She has a small athletic figure, so this "alpine fit" from TNF worked great for her.

I decided to buy this as an early Christmas gift for myself. I've been wearing it for a couple of weeks and so far i love it! It has kept me plenty warm in 20 to 30 degree weather. I love that it's lightweight and small. And, I've already gotten multiple compliments when wearing it. I got a medium and I'd say it's true to size.

I bought this jacket for my wife. A little nervous due to TNF backorder issues, but it made with time to spare. Customer service was awesome, as well. She borrowed a friend's last year and loved it because it is slimming and "cute." She can't wait to hit the slopes in this trendy plum-color version...super warm!
