Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love Thermoball! I bought this for my girlfriend as a Christmas gift since she likes to wear my Thermoball vest around the house so much. She loves it and we love TNF products! Thermoball is light and warm, feels like wearing a cloud of warm air. Stylish for a puffy jacket and will still insulate even when it is wet as compared to down that doesn't. It packs into its own pocket making it easy to stow or clip to the outside of a pack or even use as a pillow when traveling. The medium fits her shoulders and chest well but is a little big at the waist since she is athletic curvy, 5'-4"/34DD/135-140lbs. That is ok though since you want to be able to layer comfortably under these as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love this jacket I bought this jacket a few weeks ago and have used it for skiing, hiking, wearing as a walking jacket and under a rain coat as a warmth layer. I've also squished it all into its pocket to take as an extra piece in case I needed it. I've loved how comfortable, warm, and easy to move in it is. I'm 5'8" and 130lbs and I bought the small and it fits great although slightly less fitted around my middle than ideal, but works great with a sweater and a base layer under or just over a tee. I would definitely by this jacket again. Also, I bought the men's version for my two teenage boys and am just as happy with them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I ordered the darkest spruce color. It is a rich deep green color (unlike the balsam green) which I love, and the fabric has a bit of shine to it. I normally wear a medium in TNF, but I had to exchange for a small in this jacket. If you are between sizes, I would order down, IMO. I like the modern, fitted look which is fashionable. It is also very lightweight and thin and packs into a pocket which is great for travel or backpacking. I recently went to NYC for Christmas vacation and used this as a base layer under a wool jacket, and I was very warm. I live in the south, so it will be perfect worn alone for a Georgia winter. I love it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from exactly what i wanted two weeks in took my measurements and still sized down from that. glad i did. Form fits but definitely not too short or snug. I am 5'11 and 160 and med works. color has been complimented several times by strangers.. with the higher collar it works well dressed up and down. The versatility plus warmth was what i was looking for.We live in the South so subfreezing temps are not an issue here. I am not an avid outdoors person but i do spend a decent amount of time outside hiking and running. i prefer a vest to run in if necessary but I bet this would work too. Pockets are deep and the sleeves stay in place with the inner elastic. Surprisingly light as well overall.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just the coat I was looking for! I bought this coat about a month ago and have worn it almost every day now. I live in Syracuse, NY where the temperature can go from -20 with wind chill to 30 degrees the next day. I love that this jacket is warm enough for the cold days and not too hot when it's warmer out. The size is also perfect for me. It's long enough in the torso and fitted without being too tight. I can wear a sweatshirt comfortably under on the older days. It is super lightweight and I love that I can fold it up small when not in use. I also love the color. Overall I'm super happy with my purchase and would recommend this jacket to anyone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love this jacket! I bought this initially in a large, but needed an extra large, and the return and exchange process was so easy and customer service so helpful that I will definitely continue to shop through Moosejaw. The Jacket itself is wonderfully warm, light, and easy to bring in a bag if you ar not sure you will need it. It is so light you almost do not expect it to keep you as warm as it does. I was shocked when I had to take it off because I was too warm, which is what I want in a winter coat! I definitely would rather have t take it off than be shivering because I am not warm enough.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Toasty warm and amazingly light I bought this during a cold snap here in coastal California when I thought it was time to update my winter gear. I am surprised how warm this jacket is despite its light weight and slim profile. I waffled between medium and large and finally kept the medium because I could fit a sweatshirt under it and still have full range of motion (and because the medium is more flattering than the large). I really like the Kokomo Green color--bright without being obnoxious. Now, if it would just get cold enough to wear it again:-)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm and Looks good! Just what I wanted! Bought this jacket to take to Newport, RI over Christmas, it served its purpose! Extremely warm, I didn't look like a blimp and it compresses very small for packing! I'm 5'6, 110lb, 32in bust and I got the size small and was still comfortably able to wear a sweater underneath it.

Last winter I bought thermaball hoodie in Medium - fits great.  Should I expect the non-hoodie to fit as well or would I need a large

Asked by: nonie
Thanks for the question! Both the hooded, and non-hooded Thermoball Jackets have a Regular Fit. I would also get a Medium in the Full Zip Jacket. Hope this helps!

Is there any difference between this jacket and the TNF Women's Thermoball Hoodie besides the hood? Also, what is the difference between this jacket and the TNF Women's Stretch Thermoball Jacket?

Asked by: Elise
HIya, thanks for your question! The hood is really the only difference between the hoodie and jacket. The Stretch Thermoball is designed to be able to stretch and be more durable than the regular Thermoball. It would be better as a mid layer for skiing or other activities. Hope this helps!

What's warmer for casual activity: TNF Thermoball or Patagonia down sweater? Which is more fitted?

Asked by: Jbadger
Thanks for the question! The Down Sweater will hands down be warmer than the Thermoball. The Down Sweater has 800-fill goose down, where the Thermoball is insulated with Primaloft - which mimics 600-fill down. Hope this helps!

Is this jacket zip in compatible?

Asked by: wonderbread
Hiya Wonderbread, thanks for your question! No, this jacket is not zip-in compatible. The only styles that zip into a TriClimate shell are the Nuptse 2 Vest and the Denali Jacket. You can still layer the two jackets but it won't zip in. The North Face has TriClimate options with the Thermoball jacket. Check some of them out here: And... Hope this helps!

is the northface women's thermoball jacket in kokomo green color an aqua green in real color or more on green look like a kelly green?

Asked by: teeter
Thanks for the question! The Kokomo Green color is more Kelly Green. I physically checked and it is just slightly darker than the image online. For sure not Aqua Green. Hope this helps!

Is the Shady Blue in TNF Women's Thermoball Full Zip Jacket more of a navy blue or a blue-purple or something else?

Asked by: sefall
Thanks for the question! I literally was just looking at this color. I would call Shady Blue more of a Grey-ish Blue. Hope that helps a little!
