The North Face Women's Resolve is a waterproof rain jacket that can easily transition from everyday use around town, to the backcountry when crappy weather arrives. The Resolve jacket is made with nylon ripstop HyVent 2L fabric that is mesh lined and features seam sealed construction. The attached hood is adjustable and stows in the collar, and the hem cinch cord and Velcro closure front zip help keep out even that sideways rain garbage. North Face designed this jacket with a standard fit so it fits great over baselayers and midlayers. On average, the Resolves weigh in around 16.5 ounces.

"True to size but please be careful on choosing color"
This is my first time to buy The north face in Moosejaw. I choose "passion pink" because of the discount. However, when I received this jacket, I was surprised that color! It makes me look like a 18-year-old girl (maybe younger?). It is the fresh and tender color! I cannot wear jeans to match this jacket, so I bought the venture pant. But I have to say, my pants are still in stock after I have checked it out a few days later. When will the status order show up " shipped'??? That means I begin a new round of waiting~~~~~
I bought this to use as a light weight rain jacket or something I can just put on to wear around town. I'm totally in love with the color pink and ordered the Passion Pink color. Upon receiving my jacket in the mail I was excited and beyond happy seeing it in person. The jacket itself is amazing and comfortable. Best light weight jacket I own now !!!!!!!!
It is a little lighter weight than I was hoping for. It will keep you dry but not warm. It is nicely fitted and a good looking jacket, great for drizzly days, but I wanted something for those cold rainy days in the spring-this will require layering for that.
I have debated and gone back and forth on the best raincoat to purchase for months. I read reviews and had even ordered some others and ended up sending them back. I like a good rain coat that has good coverage over the face (from the hood) and a jacket that keeps the water out and doesn't stick to you when it gets wet. I love this rain coat! It has an extra lip on the hood that keeps my whole face dry, it also has a thin mesh lining inside that keeps it from sticking to you. Just what I wanted! i am 5"4 125 lbs and the medium fits great! Highly recommend.
Got this last year for Christmas. I am 5'10" and have broad shoulders so I had to go a size up to a large. It fit perfect with extra room to add layers. It is very warm even without additional layers and the arms are perfect too! :)
So I wouldn't go anywhere without this jacket. It is my second from North Face (the first one was left too close to a fire otherwise I would have not needed to replace it) and I'm glad I stuck to the brand. It looks sleek and not terribly bulky but gives me enough room to move and have as many layers underneath as needed. Like some other reviewers have said, the hood on this jacket is actually useable and works well. It's also long enough to cover the back of your pants which is important when it's seriously raining. Sometimes it's hard for me to decide between small or medium and for this one the small worked just fine. I'm 5 ft 7 in and 135 lbs.
This is a great jacket! I ended up buying it but switching to the Venture instead, seemed like the Venture was a tad more form-fitting/less bulky. Really great though and super light and rain proof. The hood covered my head perfectly unlike some other jackets that don't come far enough over the head. Great jacket for spring/fall/layering.
