The Women's North Face Recon Backpack isn't satisfied with just being a supes efficient work or school backpack during the week. The women's Recon offers the same awesome features as other North Face backpacks for students, but is also designed with additional back support and a hydration clip/port in the large main compartment, making it ideal for days out on the trails. The Recon backpack provides plenty of storage space and options, including a padded laptop sleeve that can hold most 15" laptops, front mesh drop pocket, front stash pocket, and side mesh water bottle pockets to hold your Nalgenes. The North Face built the women's Recon pack with your comfort in mind too, featuring women-specific Flex Vent injection-molded shoulder straps with additional foam for added comfort, an air mesh back panel with spine channel, and a padded, winged and stowable hipbelt. So very comfy, you guys. Even when I'm sweaty back girl.

"Just buy it!" 05/22/12
After going through countless reviews, shopping around, and agonizing...I finally decided to order the North Face Women's Recon. I wanted a backpack designed for a woman, and one that had side pockets that could be tightened around different types of water bottles. The main purpose was for our first family trip to Disney World in April 2012, and I'm so glad I did!!! I basically used it as a diaper bag/first aid kit/lunch bag/wallet and it did the trick and passed with flying colors. I'm not going to lie...it was heavy, but it was never uncomfortable after walking in the parks for more than 8 hours a day for 3 days straight! Bottom line...it's awesome therefore you should buy it!!!!!
"Comfortable, definitely made for women." 03/20/12
I'm a college student, but I already have back problems. Before this, I used an Eddie Bauer backpack made for men, and whenever I had a heavy load, my back would start to pain me. Right away, you can tell this backpack was made for women, because right when I put it on, I fit it support my back much more than my old backpack. Not to mention the Squid Red is such a nice color (not too pink, perfect mahogany-ish color). Spacious, fits my laptop, not to mention Moosejaw has it for a great price. This pack was a great buy!
"Exactly what i needed to get me through the next few years of school" 03/11/12
I was looking for a backpack that had plenty of room but wasn't too huge or bulky. This backpack is PERFECT. It fits everything I need it to, has the laptop compartment to protect my precious macbook, and is suuuuper comfortable. It offers such great back support, even if I am carrying three or four books. The organization pocket is great for those of us who are very particular about everything having its own place. It has not one but TWO water bottle pockets and the front pocket is great to fit whatever random things I need to stow away quickly. Plus, there's the added bonus of the built-in whistle in the chest strap. Love North Face, love Moosejaw.

I love how colorful and fashionable this product is and how it can hold all my books without hurting my back. it has additional supporting pads for my shoulders so even if i walk around campus all day i wont be worn out! The Northface always has the best backpacks and im glad i found one that i like this year!
"Great backpack!" 02/14/12
This backpack is a great size for fitting a laptop, books, and other items. My only complaint is that I wish the straps were padded more. However, the pack fits great on a female's back, and was definitely worth the purchase. I recommend this pack whether you use it for school or for hiking day trips.
"GREAT for small women!" 01/14/12
I am a very small woman (4'11") and have always had trouble with back pain from huge backpacks. This is the first pack that I can load with my laptop, 2 books, a lunch, etc, and walk around campus all day without thinking about my back hurting. Although it's sized for a woman's smaller frame, there is plenty of room for all of your stuff and extras - great organizer pocket for pens, pencils, highlighters, notecards and such. The front pouch is very stretchy and I usually fit my lunch and a sweater in addition to everything else. I would definitely recommend this for any woman that has struggled with back pain from packs that are too big and doesn't want to compromise on space!!

This backpack has been great. The new women's fit is awesome and very comfortable. All of my friends have this pack in different colors and we all really like them. It has plenty of pockets inside and out to keep pencils in, books, computers, etc. It is also pretty big inside so I can fit tons of things in it. Totally recommend this and helps with carrying many books around campus.

I have had a lot of backpacks over the years and for a long time I was a devote Swiss Army girl. I received this backpack as a gift and it is amazing! Tons of pockets and the adorable color (light blue) really stands out from the sea of black backpacks.
