These North Face pants convert into 6" shorts and feature a roll-up leg design to adjust to changing temps, offers numerous storage options including front cargo pockets and rear Velcro pockets, and features a durable, midweight and abrasion-resistant nylon construction with DWR finish. "Bomb Proof"  12/19/11

I bought my wife these pants and she loves them! From hiking in the mountains to everyday wear, you can't beat them.

"Great for Travel"  12/14/11

These pants are great for travel. The fact that they are convertible means you get to pack 1 item for the value of 2, shorts and pants! They are fairly comfortable and very breathable. The only downfall I can give them is that they seem to have things stick to them such as cat hair, etc. Perhaps some anti-static cling would help with that though. Very nice and durable pants though.

"Comfortable and reliable."  09/27/11

Love these pants. I haven't tried on convertible pants before and I was afraid they would look goofy (both as pants and shorts), but they don't at all! The shorts are a really nice length, and I like how they sit higher on your waist so you don't feel like your butt crack is going to hang out when you bend over. I got them in the grey color, which I really like. - the Wife

"Give These A Try!"  09/07/11

I purchased these pants for my recent backpacking trip. I'm 5'9 and these pants fit me perfectly! The zipper feature is simple to get on and off, which is very convenient if you are in a hurry. The pockets are easily accessible and deep enough for my knick-knacks.

"Solid pair of hiking pants"  08/06/11

I picked up a pair of these for my summer hiking. I love how easily they convert to shorts or capris for the warmer weather! They dry fast and clean easy! I did order a size up because some people said they run small, but my normal size would work just fine. My biggest beef with the pants is that they do overheat quickly if you need to keep them long in rougher terrain. Otherwise I absolutely love the durability! I definitely recommend for backcountry adventures.

"Best.Pants.Ever."  07/29/11

I was super excited when these pants arrived and didn't want to wait at all to try them... so I went out in the rain and did a relatively easy hike. I'm pretty sure my dog was jealous of them.. that or she was just trying to get out of the rain.. because for a pit bull who used to roam the streets.. she's really a priss about rain. Anyway, the pants are fantastic- they kept me dry and allowed me to run and climb and jump and fall as much as I wanted. The mud also washed out quite nicely. I wish I could wear them every day.. I am sure I will be buying another pair.. or two.. towards that goal.

"Nice convertible pants!"  06/21/11

This is great to bring on a trip where it can be hot or cold on the same day. Also great for packing light because it can be worn three ways-pants, capris, shorts. My girlfriend have a hard time finding pants that fit well and these are the right length, and fit perfectly. It has a drawstring that allows tightening for those who are smaller waisted. These pants are very flattering but are also quite comfortable and seem durable. The pockets are well thought out and useful. The legs are just wide enough to allow some ventilation, without looking sloppy.

"A good pant, with limitations"  05/12/11

I really LOVE that this pants are light weight and can both roll-up and become shorts that are a great, feminine length. I really HATE how long the crotch is. Seriously, I can barely spread or lift my legs easily in these pants. It's really hard to boulder or other actions than require flexibility and being able to move freely without rolling the waist over, repeatedly hoisting the pants up, or making other adjustments. Great for easy hiking and travel.

"three pairs of pants in one"  03/31/11

Love the idea of 3-in-1: pants, capris and shorts. That's 3, COUNT THEM 3 BOTTOMS, for the price of one (well, 4 if one includes one's built-in bottom) My avid adventures with these britches involve being a Public School High Teacher in the Detroit area AND a single Mom of 3 wee bairns. These pants give me more credibility with my students and kids than ANY Theme Sweater EVER could! They run a bit small and sit low on the waist so if you have a Muffin Top issue, go up a size. Air dry them too. The word on the street is that they otherwise will shrink.Be like me and buy 2: one for you and one for your Mom.

"Nice mid-weight fabric pant--not for international travel-like the older versions"  03/29/11

Pros: They are a very nice, durable pant. Great pant, love that they are pants, capris, shorts. . .three for one money. The zipper tabs on the pant legs are colored coded to mark right leg, left leg and that's a nice feature.Cons: North Face has started using velcro pocket closures on these pants. These pants do not have an interior pocket. The pant pockets are shallow and butt up to the other pockects, which means you can't really use both pockets without stuff falling out. Bought these pants expecting the same features of an older pair of North Face convertible pants that I used to tramp around third world countries. Not. . .

"Super Pants!"  01/13/11

Bought these for a trip to Africa, but they seriously became my new favorite pants ever. The fit is great for non stretchy pants, they are very comfortable, and I love that they can be shorts/pants depending on the mood/weather. The shorts are also the perfect length, not too long like bermuda shorts, but not too short so I can comfortably backpack in them. Very wearable and durable. Great find :)

"Good pants for the price, nice sizing"  08/18/10

I got these pants for backpacking. They've been used on a number of trips and my twin sister is always trying to steal them from me because she loves them too. I got these because they actually came in a size small enough for me. I like how they zip off into a shorter pair of shorts. Most of these zip-off pants look really tacky when unzipped. I primarily wear mine rolled up and they have little clasps to keep them rolled up. Decent pants for the price.
