The North Face Women’s Nuptse Faux Fur IV Bootie is a warm down boot for walking campus. Surrounding your foot like a cushy pillow is 600 fill power down insulation and a faux fur lining, you’ll hardly know they’re there due to their light weight. The laces secure the boot to lock in the heat and prevent open spaces at the top. A durable water repellent finish on the upper is for weather-resistance, causing water to bead up and roll right off, so you’ll stay dry. The outsole is made with TNF Winter Grip, super durable and ready to lead you safely across a nasty patch of ice. Always a good idea to avoid starring in those types of viral videos.

The shoes is NOT water proof on the bottom, and take on a lot of water when you walk in the snowSo I had these boots for a year now. I was expecting much better from Moosejaw and ended up being very disappointing with the product. My experience of one year of wearing these boots: ,,,,-Bought them last spring for a trip north. The boots survived the trip, but we also never walked in snow. Just in the city on shoveled side walks. Came back and put these away for the season. ,,-This winter, the shoes were taken out for the winter with 1 week of wear.,,-I took a 30 minute walk through the woods on packed snow, but did have to go through a few snow banks. The shoes were SOAKED. Went back to look at the product description... yeah, its only water proof on the "upper". Um..thanks for nothing? I tend to walk on my soles, not the "upper". ,,-Decided to buy a different pair of shoes for the tough forest hikes, seeing as these are clearly not up to the challenge. BUT, my city was hit with a snow storm a few days ago. The shoes basically disintegrated on my way to work. Never again.
