Bought this jacket for Minneapolis snow n cold. Recently had 1st snow here and the parka was just warm n comfy..easy to carry n clean. Just love it.i did shop in market before buying this one and I am just happy to buy the right one. Definitely recommend. Esp with 3X points.....
I have four TNF jackets (Metropolis, Nuptse, Aconcagua andTamburello) and two TNF hoodies. I am a solid size M (5'6" and 135 lb) in all of them so I didn't think twice about removing the tags and wearing my new jacket. BIG mistake! This jacket fits much narrower through the body than the Metropolis which I can live with since I don't wear a lot of bulky clothing. What I can't deal with, however, is the significantly shorter sleeves on this jacket - they are at least 1.5" shorter than on the Metropolis! Yes, I can tug them down and it "looks" okay, but it drives me crazy to always have to tug them down to cover my long-sleeved shirts. I really wanted to like this jacket. I think the quilting is much prettier than the Metropolis and was worth paying more for than the Metropolis even though the jackets are essentially the same in other respects. The sleeves make this jacket an epic (and costly) fail:(
I love this coat, it is actually like wearing a bed comforter outside of your house! I recommend it to all! However, for being 6 ft tall, the sleeves could be longer. It's a great coat and worth every penny. It seems true to size other than the sleeves. In our house we have two other coats similar to this and they seem to hold up well! During the cold winter weather it's good to have a coat you can trust to keep you warm, and this is one of them!

This jacket is wonderful. It has a different material than the rest of the NF down parkas; it's not obnoxiously shiny! It also feels thicker than the others. This is a good thing. The other types of parks have too thin of material to keep the down contained, so when you wear black pants, you are covered in small white feathers. As for warmth, I have not had extreme cold to test it out. However, I am the type of person who is always cold. I can wear this in 40 degree Chicago weather (aka wind), so I don't think I will be able to wear the jacket in the winter without a thick sweater. It's warm, but not THAT warm. Cons: I wish it was a few inches shorter, it is really long on me. However, the zipper stops three inches short so I may bring it in to make it a bit shorter. As for size, I have five other NF jackets all in medium, but I needed a small in this (it runs large). Last, I wish the buttons were magnetic. It's kind of a hassle to button all the small buttons up. Must buy!
