The North Face Women's Freedom LRBC Insulated Pant is an insulated ski pant for hitting the slopes from winter start to winter end. LRBC could literally stand for anything, but it probably stands for Low Rise Boot Cut. Made to fit just like your favorite pair of jeans, but with the power of waterproof/breathable protection and 60g of Heatseeker™ insulation. Built to keep you warm on cooler days, but not so much as to overheat, plus, the Chimney Venting™ system increases airflow on your hardest working days. All pockets close with either a zipper or Velcro® so you won't lose your personal items or hand warmers halfway down the mountain. Finished off with kickpatches at the cuffs for durability, you'll be set to tackle the mountain.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Warm and great fit Love the insulation on these pants! Kept me warm eve at -20 degree days on the slopes and the thigh vents were an easy way to cool down when the sun got to be too much. I did find the pockets a little disappointing as they are not very deep and the flap over the zipper makes it a little cumbersome to get in and out of them as easily as I would have liked. I am 5'6" and found the legs to be the perfect length once I had my ski boots on. The gaiters were also wide enough to go over my boots and be snug without feeling constricting. A friendly reminder that these pants don't have any give to extend out at the waist (only to adjust down in size with the Velcro tabs), so make sure to pay close attention to the sizing in inches!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from made for someone 6 feet tall These fit great - although beware that they fit quite low on your waist - but they were simply way too long. The bottom is more like a bell-bottom pant, and there was no way I could wear them even with ski boots they were so long. I am 5'5" and ordered a size small, so if anything I expected them to be too short.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Fit and Functionality Just wore them for the first time snowshoeing this past weekend. Very comfortable, great adjustable waist, and long for a tall girl like me. Stayed warm and dry the entire trip - but not too warm. Only concern was the mesh top of the attached gaiters when stepping into deeper, compact snow with just my boots on. Didn't seem to be an issue, though. Definitely recommend!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great all-around ski pants Just skied Telluride in these. It dropped over two feet of powder while we were there. Great water proof material, comfortable fit especially the adjustable fit waist. The insulation is just right too. I wore a base layer and my pants and my legs never got chilly. These are great pants at a great price.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Warm, but not the best for curves I bought these for a recent ski trip and was pretty happy about the purchase! I tried them on a few times before and was smitten with how insulated and warm they felt. However, the one big downside is that the are made for someone with a less than curvy body type. My thighs and tush are on the curvier side, while my waist is a bit slimmer. I loved the way the mediums fit, however, whenever I tried to sit the pants pulled down in the back and the thighs were really tight. It wasn't bad, but I didn't feel comfortable in them and if I was going to be in them all day I wanted maximum comfort. I decided on the large which ended up being great, but I had to keep the waist tightened to as tight as possible and even then there was a good bit of struggle to keep them in place (I'm planning on investing in suspenders!). Thankfully I had a long enough coat to make sure there were no issues and I had a thick pair of long underwear that made wearing the pants less of a problem. Overall, I was really warm and comfortable on the slopes minus the bigger size!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bright White and fit great! I selected these for my daughter for Christmas, she is 5'5" and slender ... I ordered a size M in white and they fit perfect. She hasn't used them yet, but I am confident that the brand will hold up!

Hi, I have a TNF triclimate jacket that is black, white, pink & gray from a few years ago. Is the "coastal gray" a "true" gray like my coat, or is it kind of a purplish gray like it looks on my monitor?

Asked by: Amy14
Hey there, Thanks for reaching out to us! While the "coastal gray" may not be as "coastal" as "TNF" wants, it's "grayness" is definitely "influenced" by the "lilac-osity" of it's "hue". In other words, yes, it's going to be a purplish gray. Hope this helped you out!

I work in a fish market in the northeast all winter with no heat on the ocean. I need the warmest pant possible. it's freezing. is the north face insulated pant extremmely warm? or just moderately warm?

Asked by: kimm
Hey there, Unfortunately The North Face does not provide a temperature rating for these pants. You should be warm in these pants in most winter conditions, but if you are going to wear them in freezing weather I would suggest looking for a warmer pant or layering underneath these.
