"Great jacket. Everything you could need for all seasons"
Keeps you plenty warm in the Winter. The shell is great for rainy Spring days. The lining is more than enough to keep you cozy in the Fall. Great Jacket.
I ignored the ratings for this jacket. Big mistake. I live in the mountains of West Virginia. Yea, I know its not that cold nonetheless this jacket didn't do anything for me. I would just purchase the fleece. I lost this jacket and when i realize I did, i honesty wasnt upset. lol
This is a great jacket if you are going to be out in windy conditions, but not exactly freezing conditions. The jacket is not very heavy, the inside layer is a thing northface fleece, not a fluffy one as i had expected. I decided to keep the jacket though because it isn't so heavy that I'll be really hot after wearing it for a while. If you are expecting to go snowboarding or skiing, I wouldn't reccomend this jacket.
I got this jacket in Kodiak Blue, and it has been promoted to my favorite jacket of all time. The fleece inside is pretty thin, but it keeps me warm. On the REALLY chilly days (sub 30) I'll wear another layer underneath the fleece so I'm not cold, but anything over 30 and the jacket is just perfect. I love how I can zip out the fleece inside and just wear it indoors as a light jacket. It's such a pretty color and I always get compliments on it. I'm 5'4'' and 110 lbs and got a small, though I think an extra small would've been a better choice. Still looks good. Still recommend.
"Nice Jacket - Not for very frigid winters"
I recently bought this jacket for my wife and although you do have the "insulation" provided by the zip-in fleece, it is not heavy duty for low temperatures. My wife finds it very comfortable in the current 30-40 degree weather, but anything below that it didn't hold up as well. Thus, we bought the TNF 300 fleece to zip into the shell so now she literally has a jacket for all seasons whether it be the heavier fleece, the lighter fleece, the shell by itself, or a combination of the three. Overall nice quality jacket, just be mindful that it may not be as warm as you'd like for temperatures below 32 degrees unless you purchase a heavier zip-in fleece liner.
"Light-weight, but so toasty on frigid Nebraska days!"
I'm cheap and refuse to purchase a parking pass for my university. As such, I must ride my to school and Nebraska winters take no survivors. I needed a jacket that can keep me toasty through rain, sleet, ice, snow, 50 mph wind, and below 0 temperatures. This little jacket knows what it's doing. It is completely windproof and waterproof and holds all of your body heat inside. You can tighten the sleeves at the wrists and draw in the waist and there is plenty of coverage for the neck, making a self-generated steam heat that keeps your torso and arms super warm, though a bit sweaty when you're really pedaling into the wind. That's what the armpit vents are for! It fits well and isn't too bulky.
