Grand Canyon ApprovedI took this bag on its first adventure to the Grand Canyon and other Colorado and Utah adventures and it was amazing. We didn't do any overnights with this bag but did do at least a few 7-9 hr hikes and it was great. I love how you can get two sizes for your torso length and even fine tune it to your exact support needs. There are two easy access pockets on the hips for cell phone and food or what ever you want to grab often. I bought a 2L water camel back to use with this and loved it already had built in options for that. The color is great, and the ability to hold more than just water and snacks was a nice option. Great over all pack. Excited for our next adventures with this bag!

Fabric is wimpy - better for casual usersI bought this thinking it would be a great day pack for a 3 month circumnavigation trip. Well that's over now and mine looks like it went through a paper shredder. The fabric is really light and water proof, which is what made me want it in the first place, but whatever you do, don't set it down on rocks, pavement, sand, or anything relatively rough because if it happens to get kicked over or slid around, it will tear the fabric and you will be sad. ,,Mine is also permanently filthy. When I got back, I tried to clean out some of the dirt marks and they have refused to come out despite multiple attempts with multiple different types of cleaners.,,Also, when the zippers on the hip belt close, they are behind you rather than in the front near the hip buckle. This really bothers me for some reason and I wish North Face would change it.,,,,So... it's a great little pack as long as you're not trying to do anything too extreme with it.
