"fantastic product!" 01/24/12
my daughter is using as a school backpack....has lots of pockets to fit all the stuff she needs for high school. zippers very sturdy. shoulder straps adjust well to her height (5'10"). two outside pocket for water bottles take her to after-school sports. plus it looks great! she loves the contrasting color of the straps.

This backpack is great for college, especially the laptop compartment. There is a lot of padding and protection for your laptop. However, there isn't much space for textbooks, or other larger items. I got the burgundy and pink color. It is very stylish. The medium sized front pocket has a lot of smaller compartments for pens, and smaller miscellaneous items in an organized fashion.

This backpack and I have been through thick and thin. In fact, she's actually saved my life before. Nifty little whistle that I discovered day hiking though OR. You'll have fun with her, you can use and abuse and she still stays pretty and durable. Whether it`s haling your school book load and don`t want your back to hurt or taking a little hike to relax, Borealis has your back covered, literally. Quite amazing how the straps are soooo comfortable. After countless un-satisfying backpacks I spent a little more $$ and got her. Now we've been going steady for almost a year now. Always stylish and functional, you'll never regret buying your best friend.
"Not nearly as big as I had hoped it would be...." 09/25/11
I bought this for school and I love it in terms of style and look but it is tiny. It is not wide enough and there are tons of compartments but it can barely hold anything. I can fit my laptop, a 1-inch binder, one or two folders, and maybe one textbook if I'm lucky on a good day. Taking things out and putting them back in becomes a real hassle when I'm rushing between classes. I would recommend it for students who are buying it only if they don't lug around their textbooks like I do because I'm sure a few notebooks would fit fine. But the one thing I must admit is that even when it is packed to its fullest, it is still very light on my back!

I love this backpack. I've had it for two years now. Its super durable, and it has some decent pockets. Except the letters on the straps wore off so instead of saying The North Face it says "He Rth Ace". Thats the only bad thing though! I would definitely recommend this for school, short trips etc. Worth the money!!!
"Unbeatable Backpack, Only one issue" 08/23/11
Great backpack, has everything I need. The only actual problem I encountered was color. I ordered Brunette Brown and shown here in (white/brown/purple accents). Little did I know Northface changed the Brunette Brown standard colors and I received a Brown and Blue backpack. Not exactly what I wanted but It'll do.
"Comfortable, Fashionable, Extensive usability" 06/16/11
This bag is great for walking to class carrying a pack full of books, or hiking all day with it jammed with gear. Great back support for light and heavy loads without irritation to my shoulders. Overall great bag and looks cool to top it off.
