Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid jacket for shoulder season in Iceland I was looking for a combo jacket that could withstand some of the elements - namely, drops in temperature, wind and rain - on my trip to Iceland. After using the Watson feature, this jacket appeared to be the best option for my price range. It was excellent at repelling water - I stayed completely dry during a downpour while traveling - but I was somewhat disappointed in its insulation capacity. The inner fleece, while very comfy, wasn't as warm as I wanted and I had to wear a couple of layers underneath this jacket while wandering around. Additionally, the zipper for the outer jacket gets stuck pretty easily. All in all, this is a decent, versatile jacket and I'll be keeping it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not a winter jacket The previous reviews suggest this jacket is fit for cold weather, however, it is so light and doesn't have any warmth even for mild Vancouver weather. The jacket is suitable for fall weather. Do not purchase this if you plan on heading to the slopes as you will need several base layers just to stay warm. Read the return policy carefully ( as it can be misleading) as items can only be returned to a "corporate" store as opposed to a "franchise" store- I discovered that the hard way by trying to exchange it at Coquitlam Centre. I live in Coquitlam and the franchise store is in the interior of B.C. so that makes product exchange/return impossible.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Versatile and Stylish California's winter has been unusually bitter, in the low 30s (this is cold for where I'm from). I've worn this jacket in heavy rain and high winds and stayed completely dry, without being too warm. I've also taken it to the Tahoe area in light snow with the inner shell and just a baselayer on, and I was still warm and comfortable after changing out of my heavy snowboarding jacket. The velcro sleeves were a plus: they kept the cold out and the heat in, and were able to fasten over my gloves. This jacket fits well without being too bulky, and I plan to take it everywhere!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Light Weight Purchased this in the Quail Grey which I really liked. Coat is very well constructed, fits well as expected, the liner does fit smaller than my current north face coats but not too small, I think if I went up a size the shell would be too large. The liner in the coat is very lightweight, used alone would be good for spring, early fall or cool summer nights. Unfortunately, this coat was too light weight for my needs, with shell and liner together feels like it would be good for late fall/early winter but will not get me through a full Michigan winter so it will be returned.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for Iceland vacation! I bought this for a quick fall trip to Iceland -- expecting primarily 40-50 degree weather and unpredictable rain. It was great, and super easy to separate so I could just use the inside fleece portion for the warmer days. Goes back together quickly too when it gets chilly or misty/rainy. Would probably have been a little chilly in those temps on it's own, but I wore it over a sweater so I was comfortable without overheating (and I'm one of those people who is always cold). If it started to feel too cold, a hat or gloves was all it took. I expect it will be a great coat as the weather heads toward winter as well, warm without being too bulky so I can still move around.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Product Love this jacket, thus far. My previous jacket lasted me 5 years before the zipper broke and given it being the holidays, I was not super excited to have to spend this much on another jacket. It is a great investment, however. My only thought was that it runs a little bit small. I am comfortable in it, but sometimes when I am putting the jacket on with more than one layer underneath, I can hear some seams on the back of the jacket pull. I inspected the inner liner of the jacket and didn't find anything, so I am hoping it lives up to its durable name.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Jacket! I was looking for a lightweight and durable jacket for a trip to Iceland and after browsing countless brands and jacket types I finally settled on this jacket and it was the best decision! While exploring Iceland I encountered all types of weather, especially rainy and windy (very windy!) weather and this jacket protected me from it all. The best feature is that it's very compact and packable, I found the jacket to be very warm while hiking and was able to just zip off the outer layer and stuff it in my bag without it taking up too much space. I highly recommend this product for anyone who is looking for a lightweight jacket that is water & wind proof, lightweight and stylish too.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I would definitely buy again! Got this jacket as a gift from my boyfriend and I love it! I always buy north face for their quality. My last jacket lasted me for years! This jacket is perfect for both cold and mild days! The inside removable jacket is great for a cool day by itself. The outter shell is perfect for rainy days and just on days when a light jacket is all you need. When you put them both together it is warm enough to wear on cold winter days. (So far the coldest day was in the 30s, and I was fine with this jacket on) THE ONLY thing that was almost an issue was the size. I am 4"11 113lbs, the website recommended a small, I got an extra small. The inside part would of been great as a small (the xsm is ok, just not ideal) but the outter shell is perfect as an xsmall. So I guess the inside fleece runs a bit small? Overall love it!

Is the Arrowood or the Inlux warmer?

Asked by: Cait
Hiya Cait, thanks for your question! I would say that the Inlux jacket is warmer. It has 100 g / 60 g of Heatseeker insulation while the Arrowood just has a fleece liner. Hope this helps!

Is the inside just like bionic apex 2

Asked by: Rockie
Hiya Rockie, thanks for your question! They are different. The liner of the Arrowood is a fleece (mid-layer), while the Bionic is a softshell (top-layer). Hope this helps!

Is this jacket two toned? I have melon red pants presently and am in search of a jacket. Will this jacket match?

Asked by: Annie00
Hey Annie, thanks for asking! No, this isn't two-toned. The High Risk Red color is a melon red, so it should match the pants.. but it's hard to say for sure without having the pants and jacket right next to each other.
