Rated 5 out of 5 by from Gah!! This thing is aMAYzing!! I'm possibly the wussiest person of all time when it comes to cold weather, and strangely/unfortunately I have a job that keeps me outside in all weather for 16+ hours a day. I knew that I'm too emotionally frail to face another winter without a new coat, and this is PERFECT. It's so warm and is also windproof and waterproof, a truly all-conditions coat. It's a little heavier than most traditional down jackets, so it's not something you'd want to wear on a not-that-cold day, but I look forward to being toasty warm all winter! Plus, the fur on the hood zips on and off for when you want to look gangsta and when you want to be all business.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from if you're the kinda gal who chooses cute over warm (unintentionally, of course!) get this coat after 4 winters freezing my **s off (but lookin sweet doing it) i opted for a practical coat. its warm and comfy, but wont make you look like you cut arm holes in your sleeping bag. sleeves have soft fleece cuffs, and hood is nice and big, even if you detach the fur. the fabric doesnt attract a ton of fur or lint (but is NOT shiny, thank god) which is great if you've got animals. it stuffs down small into a medium kelty stuff sack, with room for another small jacket. i'm 5' 8" 135 lbs and got a size m, and it fits a bit big so i can layer. i tried a small on and it fit perfectly, but wouldnt have allowed room for a big sweater.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best investment you're gonna make to stay toasty this winter. This coat is fantastic, people. Full disclosure: I am well versed in all things cold being born and raised in the great nation of Canada. (insert whitty joke here). We have some pretty nasty winter weather. This bad boy takes the cake. Super warm. Blocks the wind, sleet and snow no problem. It is stylishly tailored in at the waist so you don't like like a giant snowball. A dream of a day-to-day winter coat. I am 5'6"/130 lbs/36C and the small fits perfectly. I initially bought a medium and was swimming in it. Definitely opt for the small if you are similarly proportioned. Oh, and thanks Moosejaw for having the best price on this item on the net.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Super Cute, Super Warm Winter Coat I'm extremely satisfied with my purchase. I chose the Squid Red color, and I love it. It's definitely more purple than red, which is what I was hoping. It's really nice to have a cute, very warm coat--that is also waterproof--for cold, snowy Minneapolis winters.,,,,The only thing I don't totally love is the fur on the hood. It lies really weird when you are not wearing the hood. Good news, though: you can zip it off if you want. But then it seems like the furless hood is a little shallow. ,,,,Overall, though, I absolutely love this coat, and I love that I could find the size and color combination I wanted at a discounted price. THANKS MOOSEJAW!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best coat ever! I purchased this coat for myself 2 years ago (current version has updated back detail) and loved it. I am 5'9 and 149 and bought the size large and it fits great with plenty of room for layering. My daughter just went away to college and loved my coat so much, she wanted one too. I purchased her the size small - she is 5'7 and 125 and that is good for her. There were many other coats we looked at. TNF Metropolis, and Mountain Hardware downtown coat were the 2 others we really compared. TNF Arctic won out because of a) the material and b) the hood. The other materials were not as "sturdy" as this coat. I could see getting them punctured and/or ripped.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from warm and cute, yet thick and heavy. Although this jacket is fairly warm and cute, it's also made out of a thick and heavy outer material that tends to constrict my movement a little bit. It is also considerably bulkier, compared to TNF Transit or Metropolis, so I had to get a size smaller than what I normally wear. I actually stopped by at a local TNF store and tried this one before I purchased it here on MJ and I recommend you do the same. P.S. I made a mistake of brushing my puppy once wearing this dang thing and within seconds, I was transformed to my puppy, himself. Every little hair and dirt will easily get stuck to your jacket, which is another down compared to TNF Transit or Metropolis.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The down jacket that you've always been looking for I spent a lot of time trying to find the perfect down jacket. This is it. This season's jacket has a feminine fit so it fits really well and its not square fitting. There's 4 pockets on the front & 1 zip pocket inside near the zipper on left side. One feature I love is that the fur trim is removable via zipper and the hood is adjustable on the sides. I also love the fleece on the sleeves so your wrists are warm. I'm 5ft and it came down to my knees. I wore this jacket in 10 degree weather with 30mph winds blowing while walking my dog & I was extremely warm. The only thing cold on me was the wind blowing on face. Bottom line: won't be disappointed with this jacket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Whales have blubber, I have this coat- Bet I'm warmer. I am 35-26-34 and the SMALL has enough room to layer heavy sweatshirts underneath. 5'5'' and it hits at the knee. ,,,,Why this coat is awesome:,,1. The length of the coat means the only thing that gets cold is your lower leg. ,,2. The pockets are lined with a very soft material that keeps them very warm. ,,3. The fur is removable by a zipper than runs the whole circumference of the hood with the fur so that the fur is securely on the hood at the edges. No floppy edges here!,,4. It's plain and simple- no funny business. ,,,,The one thing that made be sad was that the whole hood isn't removable, only the fur is removable.
