"Great Product..!!!" 05/09/12
This parka is amazing!!! I bought one for my mom; when she received it, she found out that it was a little small for her in the bottom part - not a problem with the parka, my mom needed a bigger size for her hips ;) , but since this parka is so beautiful, warm and is made with such high quality materials, I decided to keep it for myself!!! Unbelievably warm, perfect for cold weather and for people that suffer the cold like me. The picture in the web shows the exact color of the coat, I got the white one and my mom is getting the grey one. Also, we had a great experience with Moosejaw. The shipment was done one day after the purchase and we received it days before we were supposed to.

I love this coat!! I've been wearing north face coats for over 10 years and dealing with Chicago winters and I don't know why I never bought a coat that reaches my knee. It's very warm and stylish too. The hood it bog enough that it will block the wind. And speaking of the wind, this coat blocks it as well. And anyone whonlives in Chicago, knows how strong the winds can get ut here. I'm 5'3" 115 lbs and bought a small. I probably could have gone for the xs, but I rather have a little room for thick sweaters and such. Purchase the coat, you will love it!
"warm and cute, yet thick and heavy." 03/09/12
Although this jacket is fairly warm and cute, it's also made out of a thick and heavy outer material that tends to constrict my movement a little bit. It is also considerably bulkier, compared to TNF Transit or Metropolis, so I had to get a size smaller than what I normally wear. I actually stopped by at a local TNF store and tried this one before I purchased it here on MJ and I recommend you do the same. P.S. I made a mistake of brushing my puppy once wearing this dang thing and within seconds, I was transformed to my puppy, himself. Every little hair and dirt will easily get stuck to your jacket, which is another down compared to TNF Transit or Metropolis.
"Best Coat You Can Buy" 02/20/12
I bought this coat mid-October for the harsh Michigan winter. It literally is the best coat you can buy. The coat is an investment. If you need a coat that will not let you down, buy this coat. It is durable but still looks so cute. It's hood is very warm. I would buy this for everyone I knew if I could. You are wasting your money buying a different winter coat, even if it is another north face.

Je désirais ce manteau depuis si longtemps, j'en ai essayé 100 mais de différentes marques et le meilleur que j'ai trouvé pour son look, son confort, les poignets sont bien faits et la taille est découpé, il est sans doute le meilleur achat si vous désirez un beau manteau et vous serez remarqué.
"Warmest coat I've owned!" 01/28/12
I was skeptical paying this much for a winter coat, however, I haven't regretted it once. I'm always cold...always. My office mate runs her fan because our office is the hottest in the building! Anyway, I haven't worried about the chicago winter with this coat. Love that it's north face puffy inside and sleek and for fitting on the outside. The hood is adorable and I always get compliments when out and about. Paired with my Sorel fur trimmed boots I'm ready to take on old man winter. I'm 5'5 and 105lbs and the XS is the perfect fit.
"Amazing Coat!" 01/24/12
I just received this coat today, and love it! I was going to go with the Yume Parka, but after reading multiple reviews, I went with the Arctic Parka. I live in Michigan, where apparently this winter, it's 50 degrees one day, and 14 degrees the next. I needed something stylish and warm to take my cute dog out for walks in. This coat is like wrapping yourself up in a down comforter, it blocks out all wind and cold. Amazing. There is nice warm fleece around your wrists, so you don't get cold going up your arms. The faux fur trim on the hood makes the coat a bit dressy, so its great to wear when I go to work in a suit but also casual enough to wear with sweats. Perfect coat!
"Wearing this coat is like climbing into bed" 01/18/12
I have no idea how I survived five Chicago winters without this coat, but I'm telling everyone I know to buy it. In fact, I make everyone I know try mine on to see exactly what I mean when I say it's like climbing into bed. It's SO warm and cozy and I really appreciate that the fur on the hood zips off for wet days. With the hood up, I could stay warm and toasty for hours but I probably wouldn't be able to see anyone (goodbye, peripheral vision!) or hear anyone (it's a thick hood!), but that's not a complaint since I'm usually just trying to get from point A to point B as quickly as possible when it's below freezing. It also doubles as a wonderful pillow/blanket combo on road trips!
"Great Choice for Down!" 12/31/11
The shell of the coat is perfect to protect the down inside. My favorite coats are Marmot down (650 and 700 fill) but the down ends up tattered after too much wear & use and/or washing. This coat falls just above the knees and is the perfect length. Better design would have been a removable hood (not just the fur trim which is removable) and a core fleece lining would have been nice. The fleece cuffs keep any wind out of your arms which is great. There is a cinch and pleat at the middle of the back of the coat which could be problematic if you are concerned about fit in your chest area. The construction is sturdy and I hope that this NF coat lasts me years to come!
"BEST JACKET EVER!!!!" 12/20/11
The NF arctic parka was the only thing on my Christmas list this year! It is even better then I thought it was going to be!! I'm glad I read the reviews & ordered a size up so the arms are long enough on me. I am 5'9 175lbs (size 12) and the XL fits me perfect. The length of the jacket falls right above my knees & the arm length is actually perfect. I was worried about the shoulders being tight but if you don't wear bulky clothing underneath ....which you really don't need to....it fits just fine. The hood with the fur is really nice when it is windy....but for some reason my 3 year old is scared to death of the fur & cries when I put it on LOL! Overall AMAZING jacket & well worth the money.
