"Great tent for the price" 05/10/12
This tent is easy to set up and nicely designed. It has nice, well-placed storage pockets and a pretty impressive amount of headroom for its size. It did amazingly well on a recent trip during which we had several inches of rain over the course of a couple of nights - not a drop made it in. I also love it's flexible design. Just need a bit of protection from the elements? Pitch the fly and the footprint alone. Only downside is that the bak of the tent narrows, making it a little tight as a two man tent, even for couples. Not undoable, but pretty cramped.
"Small and Heavy but Built Like a Rock" 03/06/12
The two person label is a bit misleading; you can fit about one and a half people comfortably. Also, its not the lightest tent on the market but properly set up, this tent will weather any storm. The vestibule is a nice size; you can store one person's gear outside but that's about it. This tent has never let me down but some of its features are a bit lackluster.
"Good solid tent!" 12/05/11
This tent is well put together with a pretty neat design. It is not the lightest 2 person tent but still is not too heavy. Very easy and quick to pop up. I will enjoy this little guy for years and years to come.
"Solid tent with decent features" 08/26/11
I have a couple year old tadpole 23 tent. It's great for solo backpacking, but I wouldn't want to sleep doubles in it. It's very solid and has some decent features. Quick setup and good fly makes it dependable in all conditions. I recently upgraded to a marmot tent, but I still plan on using the tadpole for solo summer trips.
"Narrow but tall" 08/07/11
This is a really nice little basic tent. It has all of the expected amenities (pockets, vestibule, etc.), without anything too flashy. The set-up is quick and easy, with color coated pole clips. I really like this little tent. It's a little heavy, but sturdy for short hikes or car camping. I would recommend this tent if it's you're not an avid outdoorsy sort. Good for two close friends looking to get closer.
"Great Tent" 08/07/11
My husband got this tent for his camping trip...poor guy it has been raining the whole trip but this tent is keeping him cozy and dry. It is easy to put up (especially when you follow the directions and use the adjustable tabs). We are not avid campers (he has been before but my extent is pitching a tent in the backyard) he thought he would give it a go. We both fit in it. It folds up small and fits inside a 22" roller suitcase nicely it is really lightweight too. We love The North Face, we have had nothing but good luck with their products. I love it because everything is color coded, green pole goes though green sleeve and green clips. EASY! I think it is a cute little tent.
"Best Tent for the Money!!" 08/07/11
I got this tent as a birthday present, at the time I was in the boyscouts and spent many nights in it including a few very windy/wet nights in the Presidential Range in NH and stayed dry as a bone. This tent is very light, and very easy to set up! I know because I have done it in complete darkness while under the influence of a few refreshing root beers :) Now that its been about 8 years the fly has seen better days it leaks quite a bit and its time to buy another one. I highly recommend this tent for backpacking as it is very small and has compression straps on the outer sack, very light, durable, and user friendly.

"Great reliable tent" 03/12/11
First thing I did when I got this tent was pitch it in the back yard and spent the night in it. It rained all night and we had 20mph gusts. The tent held up like a champ. Set up was also very easy. It is enough room for myself (6' 190 lb) and my woman (5'5'' 120 lb) without having to be shoulder to shoulder. Also, the length is perfect. My feet were not hitting the end of the tent all night. The vestibule is very roomy. We fit 2 fully loaded packs under it with room to spare.
"Easy set up" 12/17/10
I have had this tent through many storms and everything stayed dry. I can set this tent up and break it down in no time. It used to be my go to tent but I have since outgrown it for most camping trips, but still works nice for backpacking. It is tight for two people but not that bad if you want to be close anyway. Overall no complaints, I have had no problems with any North Face equip and would recommend this tent to anyone wanting a lightweight durable, and easy to set up tent.
"Love this tent, fairly light, extremely simple." 12/15/10
This tent was my first foray outside of cheapo crap tents and after deciding that I love long distance backpacking and I must say, it is still my favorite. I've owned a few different nice tents (think Mountain Hardwear, MSR) and still come back to this one as my standby. The poles that come with this tent have always proven to be rather light and extremely durable as well as extremely easy to setup. I can have this tent up with the footprint and gear loft in under 5 minutes from fully packed, great after 20+ miles. Cool in the summertime and the size is perfect for one person and all your gear to be comfortable.
"Good, light weight tent." 12/04/10
I've had this tent for three years and it's treated me well. Very easy to set up an take down. I used this tent for some impromptu winter camping the first year I had it an it worked pretty good. No complaints.
