Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Tent for the Money!! I got this tent as a birthday present, at the time I was in the boyscouts and spent many nights in it including a few very windy/wet nights in the Presidential Range in NH and stayed dry as a bone. This tent is very light, and very easy to set up! I know because I have done it in complete darkness while under the influence of a few refreshing root beers :) Now that its been about 8 years the fly has seen better days it leaks quite a bit and its time to buy another one. I highly recommend this tent for backpacking as it is very small and has compression straps on the outer sack, very light, durable, and user friendly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this tent, fairly light, extremely simple. This tent was my first foray outside of cheapo crap tents and after deciding that I love long distance backpacking and I must say, it is still my favorite. I've owned a few different nice tents (think Mountain Hardwear, MSR) and still come back to this one as my standby. The poles that come with this tent have always proven to be rather light and extremely durable as well as extremely easy to setup. I can have this tent up with the footprint and gear loft in under 5 minutes from fully packed, great after 20+ miles. Cool in the summertime and the size is perfect for one person and all your gear to be comfortable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Tent My husband got this tent for his camping trip...poor guy it has been raining the whole trip but this tent is keeping him cozy and dry. It is easy to put up (especially when you follow the directions and use the adjustable tabs). We are not avid campers (he has been before but my extent is pitching a tent in the backyard) he thought he would give it a go. We both fit in it. It folds up small and fits inside a 22" roller suitcase nicely it is really lightweight too. We love The North Face, we have had nothing but good luck with their products. I love it because everything is color coded, green pole goes though green sleeve and green clips. EASY! I think it is a cute little tent.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bombproof when i was in the market for a new tent i bought this one. as other reviews might say it is more of a spacious one man tent. but if you do any research then you would've known what you where getting in to. i have used this tent over 2 years of recreational and back country camping. Ive used it in rain, light snow, and blazing heat. but no other tent is better for the money. it vents well because the whole body is mesh. the vestibule is big enough to fit my 85 liter back and some accessories. the in tent pockets are great for a flashlight in case nature calls at 2 o'clock in the morning. it sheds water like brand new gore-tex and it never shakes in the wind.,,,,bottom line its bombproof

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great tent for the price This tent is easy to set up and nicely designed. It has nice, well-placed storage pockets and a pretty impressive amount of headroom for its size. It did amazingly well on a recent trip during which we had several inches of rain over the course of a couple of nights - not a drop made it in. I also love it's flexible design. Just need a bit of protection from the elements? Pitch the fly and the footprint alone. ,,,,Only downside is that the bak of the tent narrows, making it a little tight as a two man tent, even for couples. Not undoable, but pretty cramped.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Durable and survived heavy rains. The size is perfect. For my size, which is not that tall, this tent fits perfect. Good enough for two people with average size but for tall people, you have to make sure you are comfortable with the other person since you won't get that much space.,,,,This survived heavy rains and not a single drop of rain went inside the tent which makes it very durable.,,,,I have 3 drawbacks:,,1. Not much stakes and guy line for the whole tent attachments. There is only enough for the basic tent attachments provided.,,2. At around five pounds it's a bit heavy compared to it's small size. Wish that it could be lighter.,,3. Only one color (bamboo green) is available. No bright colors unlike the previous models.,,,,Overall a very durable tent with a decent price tag.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great scout tent Both of my boys have this tent and use it for scouting. They can put the tent up by themselves. It is a 2-person tent; however, it is best used as a one-person tent because the space is small on one end. It does have a vestibule to store your gear with the rain fly on and plenty of pockets and loops inside for small things. Be sure to buy the footprint. You can use the footprint and the fly to reduce the weight. It is a great tent for the money. Good value. If you are over 6 feet, you may want to consider a longer tent.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy set up I have had this tent through many storms and everything stayed dry. I can set this tent up and break it down in no time. It used to be my go to tent but I have since outgrown it for most camping trips, but still works nice for backpacking. It is tight for two people but not that bad if you want to be close anyway. Overall no complaints, I have had no problems with any North Face equip and would recommend this tent to anyone wanting a lightweight durable, and easy to set up tent.
