"Great Base Campt for Active Familes" 08/23/10
Kids love built in room dividers that can be easily rolled up out of the way and liked the grand ballroom in the middle beneath hanging LED lantern (ie Beauty and the Beast). Room to stand and move around in vestibule without opening the front door. Rear vestibule is big enough to get some shoes on. Top is screen mesh. Windows are high in the doors low on the sides. Windows allow good privacy with the rainfly off but too hot. Big mesh storage areas at top but are too high for younger kids to reach. Mesh pockets down low are too small for anything beyond a flashlight. The tent comes in a stuff sack which makes it a cinch(pun intended) to put the tent back in the bag and I could do it alone.
"Awesome Family Car Camping Tent" 06/21/10
When looking for a car-camping tent, I had a few things that it needed to have: full rain fly (that covers all the entrances… see BA BH4/6), room dividers, a vestibule, and a high ceiling. This tent has all of these. On our camping trip, we had rain, strong winds, and hail. Not a drop got in, and the vestibule allowed us to take off wet shoes/jackets. Set up is easy (yeah for hooks). The room dividers allow for privacy for the kids. There is plenty of storage. A hook at the center allows you to hang a fan/light. Sadly, it doesn't come with enough stakes for using the guy-lines. You can buy extra poles to make the front vestibule into a porch. Overall, a rock'n tent for car camping.
