"Lightweight, reliable, and stylish." 12/12/12
I bought this jacket because I needed a reliable lightweight jacket for wet weather. It has been great, as most North Face products are. It keeps me completely dry and it is surprisingly breathable for a waterproof jacket. I will definitely wear this jacket until I lose it or it wears out then buy a new one. I have no negatives on this jacket and for $79.99 I do not think you can get a better rain jacket.
"Not what I thought" 12/06/12
Bought this for my precious for his bday. He has worn it a couple of times, but he really doesn't like it since he can't zip in any of his TNF fleece jackets. Overall it works and keeps him dry on wet days, but it it's cold and wet he has to wear additional gear to keep warm.

I bought this jacket over a year ago for a trip to Portland, OR to visit my sister. It rained almost everyday and I forgot my umbrella at home when I left for the trip. The jacket kept me dry throughout the trip. Water never made it under the jacket. I love it. I use the jacket every time it rains and just leave the umbrella at home. :)
"repels rain and looks great doing it!" 09/11/12
I bought this to repel rain when it's raining (no way!) and because it's small so I can cram it into my backpack when I'm out hiking in case it rains (double no way!). It works, shoulders get a little wet in a sustained downpour but hey for $100 bucks, what do you expect? Sure I would love it to be bomb proof but this isn't a arcteryx alpha SV rain jacket and I didn't spend $600+ bucks on it either. (Seriously though, if you're looking for something you can go swimming in and stay dry at the same time, look up the arcteryx alpha SV, and pony up some serious cash for some serious performance).

Bought this for one of my friends and he loves it! It's light and durable and not to mention rain proof. Perfect for the summer rain! It has zippers by the armpit for extra air flow if you get hott. The Xl looks larger than a normal Xl jaket so I would go with a large as it seems like it runs big
"Great jacket, but the collar is a little bit too large." 05/01/12
I got this jacket about a year and a half ago and I have thoroughly enjoyed it. I purchased the red one and it looks very good with anything. It does a great job at blocking out wind and rain and is warm if you wear a sweater under it. My only complaint is that the collar comes up very high to the point where it covers my mouth if I zip it up. I usually just leave it unzipped at the top and it isn't a problem. Also the hood is pretty bad about staying put when you turn your head. All in all however I think this is a great jacket for the price and I would recommend it if you can get passed the oversized collar.

If you live where it's rain a lot like washington, you will love it. It's lightweight, waterproof, and windproof but not bulletproof [damn it :( ]. It will keep you dry no matter whatthe downside is it may not keep you warm. I always have to wear another layer to keep me warm.Anyway, it's a great jacket with a great price

As a first time customer, I've already passed this site on to a few friends and look forward to coming back myself.Oh yeah, the coat. Very first day I wore it, the rains came down and I stayed bone dry! Couldn't be happier. True to size. 5'11" and 200lbs, went with a large and it fits perfectly.
