The Men's WindWall 1 Jacket by The North Face is favorite windchill-inhibiting fleece delivers warmth in moderate cold and excellent insulation in the brutal cold, when layered. "Great windbreaker without the loudness" 02/22/12
When people think windbreaker, its usually the loud polyester type that goes squish squish as you walk. Now I find that noise pretty annoying which is why I bought this jacket. It's quiet and really soft (definite plus). It's not the thickest so I wouldn't recommend this on a chilly day without a sweater or something warmer underneath.Overall this jacket is great and definitely a lot better looking than most windbreakers
"Durable and warm" 01/26/12
My windwall jacket has served me well for many years. It truly does a good job at stopping the wind from sucking away body heat. It's soft and comfortable, and able to compress down pretty well. They aren't water proof, or even water resistant, but are great for cold windy days in the city or the outdoors.
"Nice coat!" 01/14/12
I bought this for my dad for Christmas. He loved it! He liked that it was more of a coat than a fleece, and can be worn out and about even during the winter. My dad now feels so cool to have a North Face jacket. But don't worry, I wouldn't consider this a "dad coat," young people can wear this too!
"Outstanding in Wisconsin" 12/28/11
I bought this jacket for my husband (then boyfriend. Ugh.) a few years ago for Christmas and it's his go-to from late October until the coldest of winter days in Wisconsin. Granted, he can handle some chilly stuff, but with the wind protection and fleece combined he stays cozy warm and openly mocks my dressy wool coats while I shiver. He's finally talked me into (read: mocked me into submission) purchasing a Windwall for myself and I'm debating the 1 or 2. The 2 is pretty fancy, but he's in love with the 1.

The TNF Windwall for 2012 has a softer feel on the inside than previous versions. It is also cut a little tighter in the arm holes, so you may want to go up a size if you are in between sizes. The Windwall looks and feels great and it works way better in the wind than most fleeces. It is not entirely wind proof but I have not felt any cold air blowing throw even in really windy conditions. This fleece can be worn as a stand-alone instead of a layering piece because of its ability to keep you warm and the wind out. My favorite jacket.

I have owned this jacket for about 1 year now - it has been a world traveler for me due to it's lightweight design, easy care and many uses. during the recent holiday I was looking fro my jacket only to find my older son had declared it was now his - he was in love with it - this started a minor feud with his bother because he wanted it too! - needless to say i recently purchased them their own jackets so that I could get my back! - great product

I got this jacket for my oldest son in a store.and he loved it.!hes very athletic.tall 6.4 he dont like to wear coats .so this was great.worried because now he only wears hoodies all winter. I try alot of coats they just set.never worn them.but yet he worn this one ligthweight.but yet warm.made him happy.and momma.so now he ask for another jacket apex bionic jacket tnf black/deep water blue xlarge. Look in stores.not color he wanted and higer.so looked on line and this place had it like other as well but it felt rigth ordering it from here.got free shipping and coupon.will use because my youngest son is looking at his brothers jacket pretty good .cant wait til is new jacket gets here.
