The North Face Men's Verto Micro Hoodie accomplishes the task of putting warmth where you need it most to minimize weight and maximize mobility. 800-fill ProDown is mapped around the torso to keep your core warm. And if I've learned anything from movies it's that core temperatures must be monitored and regulated. The down is protected by a lightweight, windproof fabric known as Pertex® Quantum® GL (sounds like they probably make computer chips as well). The sides, shoulders and arms are made with FlashDry™ which wicks moisture and dries quickly. All of this adds up to an extremely compressible mid-layer which stuffs into its own pocket, so it's always ready to go.

SPECIFICATIONS of The North Face Men's Verto Micro Hoodie
I've spent a few weeks running around in the NF Verto Micro and have hardly a complaint to file. The sleeves are long and tight enough to keep you protected from pressing winds on the slopes. The jacket has worked well in a casual setting as well, as I've gotten plenty of complements on the excellent color contrast (red and gray version). Lastly, I've discovered that I can essentially wear the hoodie on its own while riding my motorcycle in 40 degree conditions with windchill down to 10 degrees! At $250, this product is almost a steal.
