"Light & dry" 08/15/11
Light & dry - Well, what can you say… it's North Face! Built well, dry, breathable, easy to use, especially with the side zips! Not only a great shell pant for boarding, skiing, but don't forget about using it as rain gear and for fishing or working on those wet days outside
"Lightweight, waterproof pants for all around use" 04/14/10
This is the only pair of hardshell pants I own, other than pants for resort skiing. Mine see year-round usage. For summer backpacking, I through them in for wet days and thundershowers. All winter long, I always keep them in my pack for cutting the wind when needed and for keeping the snow off. Very effective for variable conditions because of the full side zip, which allows you to take them on and off with ease quickly, even if you've got large boots and crampons on. The version without the full zips is a bit cheaper and lighter, but I think the full zips are more than worth the extra price and weight.
"Very nice but not perfect" 01/05/10
I have had 2 pairs of these suckers and what can i say they are a nice full zip rain pant that definatley keeps the rain out. They can stow into one pocket and are pretty light. The only gripe i have with them is there durability. At first the material seems to be pretty tough but one wrong branch or stone will tear a hole, and once that happens they rip in a straight line right down the whole pant.I know this from experience.. Other than that they are great and they look good too. The pockets would be nicer if they were handwarmers and the zippers / flap are a little cumbersome but i say 4/5 Cheers
"5 stars" 03/16/06
I've had the same type of pants myself for some time and use them a lot for jogging, hyking etc. Just love them and had to get one for my husband. The side zip is very important, easy to zip them of when it gets to hot and on when it gets to cold. Very lightweight and easy to pack.
