The North Face Men's Tiberius Triclimate Jacket is an extremely versatile two-piece winter layering system. The inner layer is a rugged 300-weight gridded fleece that will keep you warm in the fall, as the temperature starts to drop. The exterior utilizes a waterproof HyVent® 2L shell to block out the elements and really shines when the sun doesn't shine. It can handle spring and fall storms with ease. When you zip the two layers together you get a durable, insulated winter jacket that is more than capable of handling the worst that winter can muster. Rumor has it that North Face attempted to make a three-piece layering system but the testers got so lost in zippers and layers that they were literally reduced to tears. Result: the Tiberius Triclimate is the optimal amount of layers.

"Bought this for my son and he couldn't be happier!"
Great jacket! The fleece inner jacket it great to wear alone. Keeps him warm on mild days. The outer shell really defends against the snow. Great fit for my active athletic son.. Definitely consult the size chart, they know what they are talking about. Would have normally bought a larger size since my son is 6'6" but followed your guidelines for a perfect fit! He couldn't be happier. Thanks Moosejaw!
Just what you'd expect from a North Face jacket. Purchased this for the boyfriend and he loved it. He's the type to wear a sweatshirt all winter long, so for him, this was perfect. The liner is a great option and the shell is perfect for all weather. It's exactly what a man on the go will need - waterproof and warm jacket, with an option to layer. True to size, but a little tight on the shoulders. He tried to size up, but it was just too much bigger. Stay with your regular size, the shoulders will stretch a little with wear.
Although I have not been able to test this jacket out in the winter yet, I can already tell that it is really warm and blocks out cold Chicago winds. My favorite feature is that all of the northface jackets zip into each other, so on a really cold day, I can zip in my thermoball jacket instead of the fleece for additional warmth. A downside is that this jacket has a bill on the hood that is bent. I cant seem to fix it because it is plastic inside so it looks silly. I went to a store to see if I could exchange and it looks like most of these jackets have bent bills on the hood.
