The North Face Men's ThermoBall Triclimate Jacket is a 3-in-1 jacket for making cold, wet winters way more fun. Two jackets come with this stellar package, creating three valid wearing options for various types of conditions. The outer shell is 100% waterproof/breathable, made with HyVent® 2.5L featuring stretch and a dry-touch coating. What this means is you'll be dry regardless if it's raining or snowing and comfy to boot. The liner jacket is insulated with ThermoBall™, a synthetic insulation powered by PrimaLoft® that is lightweight and super warm, so you won't be weighed down when sledding with the kids, skiing down the mountain, or having a snowball fight with your best friends. Together the two jackets make a do-it-all cold, wet weather combo. Alone, the shell is ideal for mild, wet weather. When you wear the liner alone, it's best for cool, dry weather. Three stellar options to suit the weather and even your mood. Don't forget, the shell has a hood, but the liner does not, so maybe pack a beanie for the road.

Products on Sale are Discontinued Styles or Colors.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from moose jaw is the best!!!! the jacket is also!!! Moosejaw: "Studies show that product reviews not only help others make informed decisions, but also indirectly improve our nation's literacy rate". Moosejaw is by far the funniest and coolest place have have ever purchased an item from. Amazing customer service and sales that are hard to find anywhere else ( trust me if there is a sale on north face i'll know about it). As far as the jacket goes.... First class, great price, warm, versatile, great fit , where i ever i go i get a compliment. Ive been a northface only guy for 5 years now and the most amazing thing about this coat is how it is so thin and yet keeps me warm and TOTALLY dry.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great fit/design but not as warm one may want I’ve had the Thermoball for just a little more than a month now and have been come away largely impressed with it. The jacket is designed well and looks great on. The rain shell is solid, although the hood takes a little getting used to. My only complaint to date with the jacket may be that it is not as warm as I thought it would be. If it was below freezing and I was going to be outside for long periods of time, I would have to add another layer of down underneath to be comfortable. If you’re going to be doing winter sports and plan to use this jacket, you may look elsewhere. Other than that, great coat.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lightweight and warm Just purchased the thermoball triclimate jacket and love how light it is while still keeping me warm in 20 degree temps. Have not experienced below zero temps - so can't comment on that. My only beef with the jacket is that the pockets on the outer shell are not lined and really don't do much except allow you keep stuff dry in them. It would be great if there was a slit that allowed you to put your hands into the thermoball pockets.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Previous Moosejaw Reviews Inaccurate This is a great product! It was exactly as advertised, arrived exactly when it was supposed to and I got it at a GREAT price. This was my first time ordering with Moosejaw and I was very pleased. To tell the truth, I had read several reviews on Moosejaw that left me worried about the quality of the product and service. Those reviews couldn't have been more wrong! To all you future customers out there, take reviews you read with a grain of salt good or bad but Moosejaw is worth your patronage!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Just got it! My husband really likes this jacket system! He hasn't worn it really cold weather yet so is rating at 4 simply because he hasn't had experience with it in colder weather! He did have to exchange it for an XL because it was cut narrow across shoulders and armholes for him. He has very broad, thick shoulders compared to narrow hips. Unusual for him to take an XL but it works! Nice looking coat, too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for guys who don't want to wear coats Bought this for my macho boyfriend who refuses to wear coats at even the most extreme temperatures. This jacket appears to be light but kept him warm enough throughout the winter. He loves that the outside can be attached or unattached with Velcro for different looks. He said its his perfect tailgating jacket in windy Philly.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great value I bought this coat specifically for skiing. When the coat is zipped up there is enough room in the chin area to allow you to move and still blocks the wind. There is soft material for your chin so that your skin isn't rubbed raw. I really like this coat

Is the outer shell jacket sold separately? I already have a Thermoball jacket, but that outer shell is pretty snazzy.

Asked by: Matt
Unfortunately, the outer shell of this jacket is not sold separately. If you are looking for a similar shell to wear over your thermoball jacket, maybe check out some of The North Face's waterproof rain jackets. like the Millerton, the Resolve, or the Venture. While not zip in compatible, they all make a great outershell to wear over your thermoball jacket.

How good is this jacket for snowboard ? ski ? winter sport because i saw a review that says ". If you’re going to be doing winter sports and plan to use this jacket, you may look elsewhere." thanks

Asked by: remusanu
Hey there, Thanks for reaching out to us! So here's the deal, warmth is a subjective thing, unique to each person. Not only that, but there are other factors that can affect a person's (jacket's) warmth: wind, humidity, activity level, what else your wearing, etc. Some of the specific features that make TNF ThermoBall Triclimate jacket great for snow sports are the 3-in-1 layering system and the waterproof shell. Some drawbacks if you're looking for a jacket for your alpine adventures include a lack of powder skirt and helmet compatibility and of a large interior pocket for gloves/goggles. Hope this has helped you out.

Is the North Face Denali Jacket zip in compatible with this ThermoBall Triclimate Jacket?

Asked by: Seaborn Tay
Hey there, Thanks for reaching out to us! TNF Denali is zip-in-compatible with TNF ThermoBall Triclimate Jacket's outer shell and can be used as the insulation layer in lieu of the ThermoBall Jacket.

Hoe does this jacket compare to the Triclimate Holdgate jacket? Which is warmer?

Asked by: Dog Mom15
Hey there, Thanks for the question. Unfortunately The North Face doesn't provide temperature ratings for their products, so we can't give an exact measure of how warm each jacket is, however I would have to give the edge to the Thermoball. Thermoball is The North Face's premiere synthetic down alternative which is comparable to 600 fill down, but with increased compressability. You'd be warm in both of these jackets, but the Thermoball will be more lightweight and will perform better in wet weather.
