"Great for outerwear or for layering" 12/27/10

Got this for husband who works outside in all kinds of bad weather. Really nice piece to layer or wear as outerwear when it's not too chilly outside. Like that it's a crew so, if he layers a turtleneck under it, it's not too constricting. Another plus, it's super soft.

"Solid Base Layer and Great Everday Long Sleeve Shirt" 10/25/10

To call this Long Sleeve North Face shirt "a crew" is doing it a disservice. This is a solid all round base layer as well as a warm everyday layer. The material is fleece like and very comfortable and warm. Living in Northern VT, base layers and warm winter shirts are an essential part of our apparel. This "Crew" fits the bill. I have been wearing it with a Fleece vest and have been outside in the cold rainy lower 30's and haven't needed any other layers (except a hat). If you are in the market for a warm cozy base layer, you will not be unhappy with this. Sizing: I am 5' 10' and weigh 150 and the medium fits perfectly.
