DWR tech

Durable Water Repellant
DWR (Durable Water Repellent) is a coating that is applied to fabrics which makes them water-resistant, or hydrophobic. A DWR finish doesn't interfere with breathability, which makes it perfect for adverse conditions in the backcountry.

The North Face HyVent

The North Face HyVent
HyVent is a waterproof, breathable technology that has been lab-tested and field-tested to ensure durability and breathability. Interior moisture permeates the layers to ensure dryness while keeping out rain and snow.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Light Ski Pant I needed to replace my NF ski pants that I have had for over 20 years because the interior material was falling apart. I looked at pants from everyone and again found my way back to NF. These new ones breathe so I didn't need the full zip I had with the old ones. A front pocket is nice and belt loops too. I did have them shortened by 2 inches but all my pants need that. These feel loose on you giving the flexibility for making turns. I have used them for XC, Tele and even lift service. So for the next 20 years these will be my go to ski pants.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A size that fits, and of course great quality from I buy North Face ski pants because they are one of the few brands that is not only high quality, but offers a short leg length that fits me. I am a size L, but most brands that means inseam lengths that are 4" too long. NF offers the Short sizes, with a 30" inseam, just perfect. I like to ski in a very lightweight shell pant, choosing to layer beneath when necessary. These are fairly lightweight, but still not quite light enough for me, however it is getting quite hard to find waterproof pants that are as lightweight as I would like, so these are as close as I can get for now. 3 Pockets are great too. These pants have a thin fleecy lining on the seat and backs of the legs, likely to provide a bit of warmth when sitting on a chairlift, the front of the legs are not fleece, just nylon.

What is the waist size for the medium and the small size? Thanks!

Asked by: Owen
Hey there, Thanks for reaching out to us! These pants are great for covering up your thighs. Shins too! As for the waist sizes, I went straight to Roxy from TNF for the straight dope: The Small is 29-30 inches. Medium is 31-33 inches. Hope this helped you out!
