I hope that this jacket will fit over my Denali. it just gets real cold here in the BahamasMy buddy has the same coat and loves it. He says that the wind will not penetrate it at all. That is just what I am looking for.
Sweet jacket! I originally purchased this as a light rain jacket but I found out it also works as a winter coat if you throw a hoodie on underneath it(for Wisconsin winters) In terms of sizing, I usually wear an XL and this thing easily allows for enough room to wear a hoodie or fleece under it. So yeah, if you want a relatively cheap and versatile jacket, this one is for you.
Had this jacket for 7 years now, its seen the Appalachian trail, Sailed around the Florida keys, and will soon be biking across the U.S with me. Incredibly durable, 100% waterproof as expected, and cuts down the wind a significant amount. It also breathes really nice for those hot muggy days when it rains as well is a great outer shell for the winter. Hands down my "Do Everything" jacket.
I bought it for my husband. The biking red color is so nice. We love it so much. The quality is very good but the size is off a bit. The XL is usually fit my husband very well but the XL size of this jacket is a little wider for him.
I bought it for my husband and the color biking red is so nice. The quality is very good but the size is a little off. Usually XL can fit him very well but the XL size for this jacket is a little wide for him.
My husband now has 2 of these and counting....It was about time he get a second one since the first one has holes/tears and campfire ash burn spots in it...he literally wore it to the bone. He uses them as his "winter jacket"...Usually layers them with a fleece and he's good. Simple and effective, loves how they perform in wind and water...he's always outside and never complains about how chilly or wet he is while wearing one of these jackets.
"Good at keeping you dry, NICE cloth neck, COOL DUCK BILL"
This is just a great all around rain coat.I bought this without knowing much about it, but knowing that The North Face knows their stuff. My favorite part of the jacket is that the neck has a great cloth lining then makes is functional and comfy. Finally on the hood there is a duck bill which is great for keeping the rain from dripping down into your face but also is awesome because it makes you resemble a duck. This is a win win win in my book. SOLID BUY!!!
I have used this jacket for 4 years from everything from the occasional rain day to wind-driven snow and it has done well for me. It keeps you dry, and remains fairly breathable and is wind-proof. I tossed it around, dropped it in mud, and finally, had it stolen from me recently. This is no where in the field of Gore-Tex's or Event's breathabilty but makes up in it's price and it's durability. It will not rip like many paclite or ultralite jackets. All in all, I am satisfied with this jacket and I recommend it to those who look for a bargain jacket.
"Versatile and Lightweight for Fall Weather in the Bay Area"
This jacket is light weight and versatile for multiple light weight weather conditions. For example, take the weather in San Francisco or the Bay Area area. I love the fact it is breathable and can wear atleast 2 layers underneath this jacket and still be comfortable.
