"Husbands Fav!" 02/03/13
My husband now has 2 of these and counting....It was about time he get a second one since the first one has holes/tears and campfire ash burn spots in it...he literally wore it to the bone. He uses them as his "winter jacket"...Usually layers them with a fleece and he's good. Simple and effective, loves how they perform in wind and water...he's always outside and never complains about how chilly or wet he is while wearing one of these jackets.
"Good at keeping you dry, NICE cloth neck, COOL DUCK BILL" 11/28/12
This is just a great all around rain coat.I bought this without knowing much about it, but knowing that The North Face knows their stuff. My favorite part of the jacket is that the neck has a great cloth lining then makes is functional and comfy. Finally on the hood there is a duck bill which is great for keeping the rain from dripping down into your face but also is awesome because it makes you resemble a duck. This is a win win win in my book. SOLID BUY!!!
"Durable and waterproof/breathable" 11/03/12
I have used this jacket for 4 years from everything from the occasional rain day to wind-driven snow and it has done well for me. It keeps you dry, and remains fairly breathable and is wind-proof. I tossed it around, dropped it in mud, and finally, had it stolen from me recently. This is no where in the field of Gore-Tex's or Event's breathabilty but makes up in it's price and it's durability. It will not rip like many paclite or ultralite jackets. All in all, I am satisfied with this jacket and I recommend it to those who look for a bargain jacket.
"Versatile and Lightweight for Fall Weather in the Bay Area" 09/27/12
This jacket is light weight and versatile for multiple light weight weather conditions. For example, take the weather in San Francisco or the Bay Area area. I love the fact it is breathable and can wear atleast 2 layers underneath this jacket and still be comfortable.
"Warm and Dry" 04/09/12
Great jacket - I will wear it to outdoor sporting events in the rain and it reliably keeps me dry throughout. Pretty warm too! I like the color combos and the pockets are useful. The hood is big enough for my large dome as well. High quality product from The North Face as usual
"This jacket is stylish, especially when guys wear it. It's in for all ages!" 12/26/11
My sister bought one for her boyfriend a few weeks ago and he loved it. He wore it in the rain, wind, sun and snow. It's perfect for all weathers and is stylish. Overall it's good quality, and moosejaw delivered it just in time for her to give it to him. She told me all this and I had to just buy my boyfriend one as well :) This is a must buy! Not only for your children and spouses but you too !!!
"Nice jacket" 12/01/11
I've been using this jacket for about 3 years now and is probably a great deal for the price. It is fairly waterproof and the breathablity is decent. However, if you are an ultra-lighter, this is not your choice as it is fairly heavy, compared to other, ultralight jackets. Also, the material is pretty durable, considering other, paper thin jackets that rip to shreds, if snagged onto a branch.
