"Good for use as a shell jacket" 02/02/11
I primarily purchased this jacket to use as a "shell" at an outdoor adventure camp I worked at in Central Ohio. It certainly provided basic warmth in the cold morning hours and excellent breathability throughout the day as the sun scorched the trees in our ropes courses. There certainly are plenty of pockets for storage. I, for one, was not a big fan of the hood as it did not provide me with enough ease of turning my head sideways. Overall, however, this was a really good shell jacket for all sorts of outdoor conditions.
"Great Jacket with not so great zippers" 08/05/10
So far the jacket has been a good buy. I needed a light jacket for the summer which wouldn't leave me sweating like crazy after just five minutes. And that's pretty much what I got. I really love that I have five pockets, three of them have a zipper, to take my stuff. The hood is also great as it really protects one from wind and rain. The only downside I could make out so far, is the zipper which always doesn't seem to work as well as I'd expect from a TNF product. It always takes me at least a couple of trys until I can zip my jacket. But maybe this will improve after time..
