The North Face Men's Quince Hooded Jacket is an insulated jacket for active pursuits in the alpine. Managing warmth in the alpine is all about layering and the Quince steps in as a warm mid-layer when it's wet or an outer layer in dry conditions. The 100% nylon ripstop fabric slips on smoothly over your base layer and glides underneath a hardshell for quick on/off while you're on the mountain. When worn alone the durable water repellent finish helps deter light rain or snow in a pinch. The 800 fill power goose down inside insulates your body as well as allows the jacket to be packed down into it's own pocket. Designed for the alpine and ready for adventure, this Summit Series® jacket will keep you going in the cold.

Very lightweight and ToastyWhen I received the jacket last week I was surprised how lightweight it was for NorthFace. I have many Northface over the years. I work in a cold environment in N.Y. This past week the temperature was in the teens with the winds at chills in the single digits. The perfect test. Wearing a slight sweater underneath. It was very toasty. While other coworkers were freezing and bent over from the frigid temperatures, I stood there like it was 60 degrees. I got a large. Blue. I'm 6' 184 lbs. It's perfect. The compliments from others are amazing. Now other at my job are coming to moosejaw. Northface you can never go wrong.

This is an awesome jacket!I bought this jacket to climb Mt. Rainier next August. Since getting it I have found it to be an exceptionally made jacket. It is by far the warmest jacket that I have ever owned. I can wear it out in 20 degree weather with just a T-Shirt and be plenty warm. It also features a hood which can be very helpful when the weather turns nasty!,,,,Bottom line, it is a well made jacket that is worth the money!

Light Campsite insulationBecause I sweat like crazy, I can seldom wear pure Down when I'm active but for hanging out at camp or light wandering this guy is super warm and light. It's a delicate lining though, so keep it safe, no rock scraping allowed. I bring this backpacking every time now, along with a synthetic. I wear a medium to keep it close to my skin and fit under my large sized shell.
