"Great lightweight winter jacket"  04/03/12

The jacket has a nice fit, and is comfy. The 100g insulation keeps you warm and the jacket has good wind protection. If you generally run warm, this jacket is probably all you need for the winter with some layering. But if you run cold and temp dips to the 20's, there are better options like the Arcteryx Fission SV which has a 100g more primaloft insulation, goretex for better wind and water protection, and a slighty longer cut. Since I run cold, I have both jackets for when the weather turns worse. If you run cold and only have the luxury have purchasing one, I'd go for the Fission SV jacket. Otherwise, the Plasma is an excellent option.

"Still hate the cold but......"  01/28/12

Now I don't mind going out as much when the wind and snow is kicking up. It keeps me nice and warm...and it was a miserable 10 degrees the other day. Another fine product from TNF.

"great against the wind and rain but not really WARM"  10/29/11

its a great jacket, amazing against the wind and rain. BUT its not warm enough on its own so it makes you layer up alot inside

"Warm jacket, especially when you are moving around, shoveling snow, etc"  08/21/11

This jacket is absolutely awesome. Really loved the color (mine was Gray and Red) Very, very lightweight, however, very warm. Wore in Chicago on vacation over New Years and got really warm walking around town. Also wear it in Iowa during the winter and got hot while shoveling 16" of snow.Only downside is if you wash it, it gains a lot of weight and takes a long time to dry. Says it is washable, but I would recommend spot cleaning. The jacket is waterproof, but when washing the synthetic down absorbs all of the water and the tag says do not dry clean.
