"great fit, warm and light" 02/04/13

i bought size medium and it fits snug. first thing to talk about is the quality of the material and the stitch and it is well done. second are the zippers which have a layer of soft plastic like thingy and also that the zip head is covered when you close the zip so water doesn't get in.let me give you an example of how warm these jackets are. it was 28 this morning and i was walking to the bus stop shelter with a lunch bag in 1 of my hands. i forgot to wear my gloves. my hands started feeling numb. once i reached the shelter i put both my hands in the pocket and after 7 mins they started sweating. From numb to sweat is great.

As other have suggested, this jacket is an great buy. It strikes a perfect balance between a lightweight feel and providing excellent warmth. It also looks good, which never hurts. I recently wore this jacket during a longer run in 10 degree weather. I was able to move freely while maintaining my warmth. The cinch cord around the waste also prevents any cold air from getting in while on the move. I really have nothing negative to say about this jacket. I did an extensive amount of research (probably too much) and the general consensus was that his jacket was perfect. I would agree. Save yourself the time and purchase this jacket while its on sale.

"Amazing" 11/05/12

I have no complaints for this jacket. It really is unbelievably light for how warm it keeps you. The zipper isn't perfect but I have no major issues with it. Once the temperatures get really cold, you MAY need an extra layer, but usually this jacket is fine by itself.

"Great Jacket" 01/28/12

This is a great jacket. I'm living in Massachusetts and although this winter hasn't been so bad this jacket has keep me warm so far. I've used only a T-shirt and this jacket down to 30 degrees and I've been fine. When the temperature drops lower than that I have to put a sweater as a mid-layer and I'm fine. So far the lowest temperature I've used it has been 5 degrees

"Well worth the money!!" 01/22/12

Bought this jacket over a year ago and it still proves to be the best winter gear purchase since moving from 90 degree weather to the frigid cold!! I would recommend this jacket to everyone as I have received numerous compliments. Additionally, light weight for a jacket that provides great warmth!!

"Very warm and water proof, but lacking in other departments." 08/25/11

I absolutely was pleased with the look and feel of this jacket. It is full harness and helmet compatible. I took it up a glacier in Berchtesgaden Germany and my core was toasty and dry the entire time. The only draw back I have with this jacket is that the main zipper tends to get caught in the inner lining. I actually have this problem quite a bit and even tore a small hole in the interior of the jacket. Granted this could be user error.

This jacket is AWESOME! I purchased another PrimaLoft jacket and was very disappointed because people claims PrimaLoft is a "version of Down". After wearing the jacket in 20+ degree weather in NYC with just a sweater under, I was warm. Great jacket and really nice looking!

"Great Jacket- Lightweight, Warm and Waterproof" 12/09/10

This is a great jacket, warm, light and very waterproof. So far I've used it casually, for getting around town. The temp has been as low as 15 degrees, and I've been fine with a t-shirt underneath. Any temp above the mid-40's and it gets to warm. I'm 6"3', jacket is an XL and on the short side but the sleeves and torso fit well. The cost was about $50 more than similar Mountain Hardwear and North Face jackets but this one is full waterproof, including taped seams, instead of water resistant, a feature worth a little extra money if you're in a wet area. I would recommend this jacket for anyone looking for a winter jacket that is both well insulated and waterproof as well as great looking.

"Warm and lightweight.. can you ask for more?" 12/07/10

I just got this jacket yesterday and wore it today! It was pretty cold here in NYC so it was the perfect time to test it out.. Like others have said, this jacket + primaloft one really keeps you warm and you don't have to weigh an extra 10 lbs. The only thing that I didn't like as much was the placement of the drawstring.. could've placed it more toward the side but I'm really just nitpicking.. I LOVE THIS! GET IT NAO!

"GODS gift to us for creating EXTREME climates" 11/12/10

Ok, this is my second Plasma Thermal... That being said, I obviously think its the best thing to happen to humans since penicillin (Thank you Alexander Flemming). I've worn this jacket every day and night around Chicago for the past 1.5 yrs and I've yet to fall victim to a cold torso. Its really light weight, which I think, creates the illusion of not being an ideal winter jacket for very cold climates, but I assure you that is FAR from the truth. Its water proof, fits really nice, true to size, has a lot of options to create the "perfect fit" and is easy to wash. This is by far the best and reasonably priced North Face jacket out there. Do yourself a favor and buy this!

"Puts all my other North Face jackets in the closet and keeps them there!!" 12/22/09

when i put this jacket on, my heart melted! The interior lining on this jacket is like nothing i have ever seen or felt before. So amazing. i bought the solid blue one and it's amazing! Very warm jacket! Its pretty chilly out today but i had this jacket on and was throwing the ball with my weimaraner in the backyard before the UPS guy got back in truck. 100 percent satisfied.. well worth the price!Get you one today!
