best winter jacket i've ever bought. i live in NYC and it gets windy as hell around this time of year along with the below freezing temperature.<BR><BR>i have the outershell from northface as well and it's almost useless because of this jacket. the insulation is great the "Feels like 12 (fahrenheit)" feels like 70 with this coat on while just wearing a t-shirt. (yes just a t shirt.)

I just received this jacket for Christmas and I absolutely love it! I was bummed at first because it has been unnormally warm in New Jersey for the month of January, but yesterday it was in the teens and today it snowed and I don't know how I have gotten through the winters before this without it. It is unbelievably light in weight, but heavy in warmth. Plus, the style is something I will be able to wear for years without losing trendiness.

This is my second year as a Moosejawee. My guys love your stuff! It may not be American Express but I certainly don't leave home without my North Face Triple C long toasty warm coat. I BOUGHT THE IDENTICAL NUPTSE VEST FOR MYSELF, AND THEN NEEDED TO GET MY DAD A CHRISTMAS PRESENT, SO I GOT HIM THIS.<BR><BR>I WAS WEARING MY VEST WHEN I GOT OFF THE PLANE (I WENT WITH BURL ORANGE FOR BOTH ITEMS OF CLOTHING, IF THAT HELPS), AND AFTER LIKE, TWO SECONDS MY DAD WAS LIKE, "GREAT VEST, ADDY."<BR><BR>THAT'S WHEN I KNEW MY DAD WOULD BE WAY PSYCHED TO GET THIS JACKETBLOCKEDKEYWORDWHICH HE WAS. THE ONLY PROBLEM IS THAT THEN, FOR THE REST OF THE TRIP, HE KEPT TRYING TO WEAR HIS JACKET WHENEVER I WORE MY VEST SO WE WOULD BE LIKE TWINS, AND HE WOULD BE LESS OF A DAD AND MORE OF A "COOL, OLDER FRIEND."<BR><BR>THAT DIDN'T WORK OUT SO WELL.

Really warm and light weightwise. doesn't weigh you down. unfortunately, north face tried so hard to make the jacket lightweight that they didn't make the material protecting the down inside that thick and a little rip that i thought i could deal with that happened during mailing the jacket to me turned into a big one within a few hours of wearing the jacket.

The guy that said he hated this jacket cracks me up! He hated it, but wore it for 2 or 3 years! If you can wear it for that long it can't be that bad! I've been wearing mine for several years and it's done nothing but keep me warm. If you're gonna give your north face stuff to salvation army just send it to my house!!!

I was going to get the men's Denali jacket at the same time that I ordered the women's version for my daughter, but then I saw the Nuptse jacket advertised and thought it was closer to what I really wanted (a sharp looking winter coat that would also be very warm). This coat fits the bill, and I'm glad I ordered it. Besides getting the color that I wanted (Cardinal Red with Grey trim), I was also able to get it for below "catalog" price due to Moosejaw's price matching guarantee.
