Got this for my husband. He likes the fit (always a North Face size large and this fit well also) and he wears it for an extra warmth layer. It seems a little long, but that is good if you are wearing it to keep warm. It's super soft and fluffy.

"Haven't owned anything bad by NorthFace yet" 04/08/12

Very durable, reasonable wind protection, ends up being my main grab for when I'm in the mountains as an extra insulation layer as well as layered over a good ol' flannel shirt when I'm back home and out and about.

"Hard to beat!" 01/12/12

Bought this vest as a Christmas gift. It appears to be well made and the fleece is warm and super soft. Utility is a word that comes to mind when looking at it. There are so many situations this thing will come in handy...and the price is right!

"Great Vest" 12/17/11

Vest is very soft first of all. A great stand-alone and stylish vest that will keep you warm for mildly cold temperatures. When is gets too cold to wear alone it also works great as an underneath layer. I'm about 5'7 and a small fits perfectly. I live in a southern college town where it doesn't get too terribly cold and it has become a daily clothing article for me. Very Happy with my purchase.

"Khumbu as a vest...awesome" 12/02/11

I did not realize that the Khumbu was available as a vest. Very soft and warm. Just put a flannel on underneath and you are all set.

"Warm Well Fitting Fleece Vest" 10/25/10

This vest is a quality North Face Fleece Vest. It fits true to form (5' 10", 150 - medium fits like a glove). The pockets are good size with sturdy zippers. Would like to see it have a chest pocket (for the cellphone), but certainly not necessary. Larger then normal neck but it apperas there to keeps in body heat (which it does well).Heavy weight 300 count fleece makes for a solid layer while still having the flexibility of arm movement.

might run a little big as i am 6 foot 2 about 180 pounds and the medium fits me perfect. works great with a tee shirt or with a dress shirt. its warmer than the patagonia vest i have that is similar too.

"For the money, this is a Great buy" 10/03/10

I love this vest, it is really comfy and fits great. I am 5'9" and 160 and the medium fits like a glove. This is my second of this product to own, so if that tells you anything(I think very highly of this product). This vest goes great with a t-shirt underneath to help retain core heat on those days that are just a little chilly, but not cold enough for a jacket. It is also great for layering. I have zipped it in to my NF hardshell. All-in-all it is a great buy.
