"Great shorts" 12/20/11

These are great shorts for hiking. Wore them up Kili a few months back. Fits true to size, very comfortable, and pretty darn stylish. Get two pairs!

"My Favorite North Face Shorts!" 08/21/11

First and foremost I love the partial elastic waistband. It really makes the sizing structure far more forgiving. Instead of small being a firm 28-30, it really adds another inch to the size thus allowing someone with a 31" waist, like me, to still comfortably fit into a small.I also love the fact that these shorts are made out of lightweight nylon ripstop. It makes them extremely comfortable in hot weather. Try wearing a pair of canvas or twill Mountain Khaki's in really hot weather and see how comfortable you are. No thanks!. This is one of the main reasons why I literally have 10+ pairs of these shorts sitting in my closet.

"Terrific all-purpose activity/utility shorts" 08/15/11

Terrific all-purpose activity/utility shorts. Says cargo in the name but these aren't too bulky in the sides/thigh pockets and the ultra-lightweight fabric is tops for warm weather -- no bulky dank heavy cotton to drag you down. The fabric is incredibly sturdy, lightweight, and dries instantly, keeping me cool in hot and humid conditions. I've had a pair of these since 2006 and they've stood up to camping, climbing, scraping on boulder climbs, a bike accident on pavement, and all manner of urban adventures. Perfect pockets for keys/wallet/cellphone and I love the inside drawstring for quick re-tensioned of the waistband; I never wear a belt with these (although they have belt loops).

"Best Shorts~" 08/17/10

This is one of the best pairs of shorts to have. Perfect in every area if you ask me. Oh, you didn't ask? Too bad. Get these shorts! Just enough pockets. Just enough elastic. Just the right length.
