Product Technology: GORE-TEX XCR, GORE-TEX Extended Comfort

GORE-TEX Gloves engineered with XCR technology offer maximum comfort in a wide range of temperatures, even at high activity levels. They provide the perfect mix of warmth and breathability. This makes them ideal for snowsports or for some incredibly technical sidewalk shovelling.

GORE-TEX Extended Comfort Footwear

GORE-TEX Extended Comfort Footwear
GORE-TEX Extended Comfort Footwear is ideal for warmer conditions and high-output activities. It is durably waterproof and highly breathable. As conditions change, this footwear will adapt. Kinda like how penguins are starting to fly now that the ice caps are melting. I read that in a book.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from short lived comfort and traction Overall a great pair of shoes that held up decently to a lot of use. I've had them for a year now and loved them until recently. The fit is good and the shoes are light; the traction has also been excellent in all conditions. This was my first pair of GTX shoes and I will never look back, I was amazed at how well these took a dip without getting me wet.,,,,My only complaint is that after much use some of the side lugs on the tread have torn off and now some of the stitching is coming loose around the outside of the toe areas. After the stitching began to fail the shoes started to feel much less comfortable in the toe area. Not sure if the shape isn't holding due to the stitching or what.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A great shoe! I have the previous model of this shoe and they are great. I wear them nearly everyday and have had them for over a year now. At about 1 year, the sole started to separate and after 10 months or so I had to get new laces. They are warmer than a normal shoe yet still breathable enough to wear in the summer. The goretex held up for about 6 months I think but I am afraid they will no longer keep my feet dry at this time. They fit my foot well and I have not had a problem with blisters from them.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid, comfortable hiking shoe These have become my go-to shoes for most day-hiking activities. I have worn these up to 10 miles, while carrying light-, medium- and heavy-weight packs. For a light hiking shoe, the support is good. They are comfortable, although I find the fit in the toebox is a bit snug if I wear thick socks. Most importantly, I have had no blistering problems, even in very warm weather (i.e., while sweating a lot) and on steep uphill terrain. Good shoes. I have not been disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Hiking Shoe After a lot of research, I ordered these with the laces this time because they no longer had the BOA version in my size. I love these. Much better with the laces too. great support for long or short hikes in the mountains or the desert around my house. The look great and feel great and after I wear these out, I'll get them a third time.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Traction This shoe has great traction in loose gravel, dirt and even on wet rocks. Climbing down a mountain in pouring rain, it kept me stable without any slipping. As for the waterproof issue, my feet were dry after hiking in rain and walking in water puddles. It is the type of quality I have come to expect of North Face.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solidly built. Nice cushioning, but not spongy. Good traction. I bought these shoes mainly to wear to work and have been very pleased. It is a very stable shoe with excellent traction. The midsole is firm but with above average cushioning. The shoe feels well built and durable. Despite having gore-tex the shoe is very breathable.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not fully impressed I bought this for light hiking/trail running. The sole (vibram) is superior, however the Gore-Tex is not fully waterproof. After an easy hike up Black Dome in the Catskills, my feet were soaked. It runs true to size, and has decent cushioning.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good shoes. Worth the price. This is my first pair of TNF shoes. I'll definately purchase more. They are comfortable and look good.
