The North Face Men’s Freedom Pant is a waterproof, breathable ski pant to keep you dry during your ski time on the mountain. The HyVent 2L fabric keeps you dry and the Chimney Venting system at the thighs provides you with the ability to cool down when you really start pushing it hard. My favorite part has to be the kickpatches, just a little extra insurance that I won’t destroy the bottoms before the season is out. Freedom pant equals freedom to move wherever the mountain may take you.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Versatile - Warm Enough for Harsh Cold Weather, but Well Ventilated for Those Warmer Winter Days A very versatile product for your snow-sport fun. The pants did not "initially" appear insulated enough, but were perfect when worn w/ a pair of shorts to ski during multiple windy nights in 16F degree weather after a full day of skiing. They were equally comfortable in 50 degree day time ski trips, with the zippered vents open. I am 195lbs, with a 36 inch waist and 30 inch inseam and the Large-short size was spot on.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for Spring Skiing in the Rockies! I love in Colorado, and do a lot of skiing throughout the year. I usually buy much more expensive ski pants, but figured I would give these a shot for the warmer Spring ski season. I have read reviews on these where people complain that they aren't really warm. Not sure what people expected these to be... these are not insulated, nor are they advertised to be insulated. They actually make an insulated version if extreme warmth is what you're looking for. Having said that, these pants are fantastic! They are completely waterproof, and breath very well. They are loose fitting, and allow for a more stylish than typical snow pant look. They are not restricting as well, and the pockets are logically placed, and the zippers zip very easily (great for zipping pockets with gloves on. These are my new pants of choice. I get hot skiing anyway, so this version of Freedom pants is perfect for me except in the extremely frigid days. Highly recommend!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great snowboard pants I've used these with and without a base layer in single digit temperatures (F). They are quite warm. I'm a 33/34 waist normally Medium was good, though the cut is quite baggy as most everyone has said. Love the adjustable waist and the gaiters. They seem quite well constructed. I'm happy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great comfortable buy! I bought these to go snowboarding and they fit great! I'm not the average height so I got these in short and did not have to hem that all. I snowboarded all day in this bad boy and my legs and butt stayed dry. I would defnitely buy this again in a different color.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Pair of Pants Great pair of pants. Used the bad boys over Smart Wool base layer pants for Quebec's Winter Carnival. Temps got to 20 below with wind chill. Blocked the wind and stayed warm underneath. Pockets worked well. Very happy with pants.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good pants I bought these to use for skiing. Work very well and quite waterproof. Not the warmest though. Wear another layer like underarmor or such and you are good to go for cold weather.
