The North Face Men's Exertion Triclimate Jacket is a two-jacket layering system that allows you to customize your outerwear to the conditions. The outer layer is a waterproof HyVent® hard shell which is breathable and will get you through some stormy weather. On calmer days, the midweight fleece liner can be worn solo for cozy warmth. Then, in the coldest months, you can simply zip the two together for complete winter protection. Three climates: fall, spring, winter. I claim that it's technically a summer jacket too, you just need to zip off both layers.... but everyone tells me that's technically just called "not wearing the jacket."

"Awesome jacket, especially for the money!"
The jacket is great as is plus you can put a heavier liner inside if you are in a very cold climate. Walked my dogs in 33 degree rain for 30 minutes the other day with just a t-shirt under and it was just enough to keep me warm and dry.
Very nice jacket. Love the versatility of being able to use just the waterproof shell or the fleece liner as needed. Or combine the two into the "total system" and enjoy a nice warm and stylish winter jacket. I would definitely recommend for the everyday wearer!
Excellent 3 in 1 jacket. My second North Face. Wish it had more pockets, I carry lots of stuff. Removable hood is a plus. I normally wear it with the liner not zipper to the shell, easier to peel when I get too warm. Runs true to size.
This jacket has been great! I live in Indiana where the weather changes faster then I can type a review. Worked well during our -20 degree cold blast with the linear in it (and a hoodie on) and since then been wearing it as a rain/wind jacket without linear over a sweater to work. Only complaint; wish it had an inside pocket.
"Better than standing in the snow naked (sorta)"
I bought this jacket for my picky husband who would rather stand in the snow naked and freezing than wear an uncomfortable piece of clothing. I snagged an awesome deal with the price match option!Bottom line..HE LOVES IT! It fits true to size and the layering option is a plus since he is such an active guy.Keeps out the cold ,wet weather perfectly and leaves him feeling all warm and cozy. Two thumbs up!
